Seascape festival is in full swing today. We will meet at 12.30 Sunday for our throwdown at the red Awen info tent in cosy corner - near the harbour (just in case it is rainy we have shelter)

Just a reminder that something big is happening next month!

UK’s Annual Sketch event is happening in our own back yard in Cardiff and Newport.

People are coming from all over the UK and even from abroad.

Tricia, Carol and myself met the Committee several months ago and they are a lovely bunch of folk. This is a real chance to meet others, make connections and have quality sketching time.
Full details are on our page but here is a summary:

Friday 5th June.
Meet inside Cardiff Castle main entrance at 12 midday by cafe / seating area. Please refer to the Cardiff map attached below for sketching locations and toilets.
The throwdown will be at 5pm at Castle Arcade.
For the evening- there are places to eat in the town centre but town can get very busy. We will be heading to nearby Cardiff Bay. Which is full of food venues, drinks and outdoor space to sketch together.

Saturday 6th June.
Meet outside Wales Millennium Centre at Cardiff Bay at 10am.
Again please refer to the map attached below for places of interest to sketch. The 12.30 midday and 5pm throwdowns will take place at Roald Dahl Plass. This is an amphitheatre- great venue to put books down and view them.
We will stay in this area for an evening of sketching, dining and eating.

Sunday 7th June.
Meet at Newport Indoor Market at 10am. There are 2 entrances. High Street and we will be at the opposite side- the Upper Dock Street entrance. (More space to gather).

Meet back at the Indoor Market for 12.30 for the midday throwdown. After sketching in the afternoon in the surrounding areas, final throwdown will be at 4.30pm at the Chartist Commemorative Sculpture.
