Happy to easter to you all!! A little studio sketch for you today.

I am going to attempt candle making later today as received a kit as a gift for Christmas.

Reflecting back on the year so far has been good, teaching my lovely group in Ashford and working in the studio has been a good time for reflection and creating new work. Will start showing teasers on soon

It's been a while since last posting, perhaps intentionally so. I've moved to a new space where I make my work and been quietly enjoying the start to my studio year. I'm still here but rethinking how I engage with my art, focus my creative career and the projects I want to take on.

I hope you enjoy being part of that process. My main aim this year is to create and indulge in that, I think a few outcomes will come from it but mainly I just want to draw and enjoy that without worrying about as many events or exhibitions. I really enjoyed making a book last year so want to explore that a bit further.

My first project with .w.h.hobbs romance is still available via our websites and could be the perfect little something for valentines. It is a co-created book of poems and drawings. You can read about it more

I'm excited to be doing some teaching with over the next few weeks and have a lot of fun drawing practices ready to go including forest themes, fairytales and manga.

Do you have any creative aims? Let me know.

Take care this Christmas, go slow, breathe.

Enjoy the celebrations and brilliant people in your life, keep them close.

Do something for you, prepare for the new year and all the joy that awaits.

I hope to have so many more drawings for you to enjoy as I enter my studio year.

With love, Molly

There's a drawing in my new book with .w.h.hobbs for the project which got me thinking about haunting eyes, something demonic, perhaps empty yet at the same time rich- maybe a sense of otherworldly being and knowing.

Anyway, the new style stuck with me and you'll see it in some of my characters. Lost souls- stuck somewhere else in time.

With thanks to .w.h.hobbs for encouraging me to leave one of my drawings without pupils- giving me fascination to keep drawing like this. You will find the drawings i did within our book a bit different from my usual style- I've really enjoyed challenging myself and working with a writer has made me think in new ways and offered challenge to my practice.

When words are lost, I can always trust in my work to capture moments and feelings that might otherwise go unspoken.

I can see my work developing all the time, even years into all this- subtle changes, new characters, tones. My creative world has expanded a long way and I love getting lost in it.

Thanks to all who read and follow, I am looking forward to a year in my studio.

I want to focus on some of my own long term projects and those with .w.h.hobbs - I want to develop my practice and be ambitious in new ways, I need to step away from exhibitions for a time to really explore and embrace these new projects.

Had an amazing time visiting Canterbury today to see their facilities and have a look at the art workshops ran daily. Today's session was ran by and it was an absolute pleasure to have a go.

Was also excited to meet and learn about some brilliant work they will be doing locally

This year as an artist has been especially full — and I’m so excited to share some of the joys it’s brought!

I’ve exhibited in over ten shows across the UK and Vienna, taken a beautiful creative holiday with .w.h.hobbs, and started a new journey as a researcher in creative health.

We hit a major milestone with
our first poetry and art book is out now (link in bio!)

I’m continuing to deliver workshops with and always grateful for the enthusiasm from my group when I see them to teach.

It's time to make new work, so I have been drawing every day, refining my process thinking about my next big projects.

Art is my constant companion supporting me through every high and low in life. Thanks for following my work, I hope you continue to enjoy seeing where it takes me next.
