Join us for Vespers at St Andrew’s, Girton on Monday 8th June at 8:30pm for a programme that brings together music both personal and celebratory. We begin with 'My Beloved Spake' by Anthony Picton, a member of the choir, written for his wedding, alongside a Magnificat by fellow baritone Caleb Richards. Bach’s 'Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied' (movements III & IV) provides a joyful and exuberant centre, before we close with Roxanna Panufnik’s striking 'Salve Regina', sung as a solo by one of our altos, Blandine.

Feeling stressed? Take a moment to enjoy a soothing segment from Simon Beattie's brand new work, ‘Vita Mariae’. We had the privilege of giving the premiere of this exciting new work in the Church of Our Lady and the English Martyrs (OLEM), Cambridge last month. 🌟

On 1 June, join us for Compline at St Botolph’s, our first service of the term dedicated to upper voices only. The programme brings together luminous and expressive works, including Vaughan Williams’ 'The Bird’s Song', alongside music by two of the UK’s most prominent female composers: Cecilia McDowall’s St Alban’s Service and Judith Bingham’s 'God be in my Head', an evocative piece shaped by flowing, intertwining scales. We close with Duruflé’s 'Tota pulchra es', rich in colour and serenity.

Our first service for lower voices only takes place on 25 May at 8:30pm with Vespers in Magdalene Chapel. The programme explores the depth and richness of the lower register, featuring SchĂŒtz’s 'Ich beuge meine Knie', a striking duet, Andreas’ 'Fauxbourdon', Golovanov’s 'Cherubic Hymn' - his first published work - and Biebl’s sumptuous 'Ave Maria'. An evening of warmth, resonance, and sonorous beauty.
