THE TELESCOPES - November 12th

A pioneering force in the UK’s experimental music scene, blending noise rock, shoegaze, and psychedelic soundscapes into a hypnotic sonic experience. Formed in 1987 by visionary artist Stephen Lawrie, the band has continually evolved, embracing everything from ambient drone to avant-garde dream pop. With a revolving lineup and a fearless approach to sound, The Telescopes have released over 16 studio albums and influenced a generation of artists including Mogwai, Portishead, and Radiohead. Their live shows are immersive and unpredictable, described by critics as
“a revolution of the psyche.” Whether you’re a long-time fan or a curious newcomer, The Telescopes promise a journey into the outer reaches of musical exploration.

RED MAR - November 12th

Red Mar produce an experimental and highly visceral form of rock music. The
project was formed out of exploratory improvisations between members Miles
Lukoszeviese and Harry Fisher while in high school. Since then, it has established a
group of like minded multi-instrumentalist musicians who together create a precise
and expressive form of noise-rock.

The group’s music is characterized by its visceral and unrelenting nature, often
transitioning between moments of quiet intensity and chaotic noise. Their sound has
been compared to the unconventionality of bands like This Heat, the long form work
of Swans and the trance inducing rhythms of Slint, though they take equal influence
from other experimental genres spanning contemporary classical, electroacoustic
and noise - resulting in a dynamic sound woven together by the fervent energy of
punk.

Since 2020 they have performed consistently in Norwich and London in the
underground venue circuit and sporadically across the UK, supporting the likes of
NYC hardcore band Show Me The Body and Manchester psych-rock unit GNOD
among others. Performing at venues such as The Lexington, Windmill, George
Tavern, the John Peel Centre, Paper Dress Vintage, The Peer Hat, Norwich Arts
Centre, Norfolk and Norwich Festival, and more.

After a series of standalone singles and a live album, they released their debut
album ‘Our Low Cell’ to much acclaim in April 2025. In this album they traded the
harsh brutality of their live performances for a sensuality elevated by additional
orchestration made possible in the studio, nevertheless still holding the grain of
intensity which has been nurtured since the formation of the band.

Stereo Sanctity DJs will be filling the sound cracks with their uniquely eclectic selection of tracks.
