Escape to Freedom is an original painting by John Bibby (Spirit Glow Art), this five panel piece is about freedom and hope. Bidding starts at Friday 8th May at 5pm, starting at £50, with increments of £10, the winning bidder will receive the signed painting, along with a certificate of authenticity. Bidding closes on Sunday 10th of May at 5pm at the close of the Sussex Art Fair.

I painted "Reunion — Safe at Last" after hearing too many stories of parents and children separated at the border. The work portrays the moment when a mother finally holds her child again — the relief, the exhaustion, the small tokens left behind: a teddy, a child’s drawing, a hospital-style wristband, and the faint silhouettes of ICE officers in the background. I used layered brushwork and muted light to put the focus on the embrace and the weight of what led up to it.

My latest piece, called Maamang 🐋, the Noongar name for a 🐋, inspired by the Noongar tribe of Western Australia who believe that in order for a deceased person to reach the next place, their spirit must be taken there on the back of a whale.

It's first outing will be at , Warwick, Sept 26 to 28, www.fusionartfair.co.uk.

Mowgli was a mother dolphin in Mandurah Australia who recently passed away leaving behind her daughter Baloo. She had a long life bringing many calves into the world. This painting depicts her spirit being led to the other side by Balayang a creator deity. Bright ocean view with pink, yellow, aquamarine colours.
