We love it when a plan comes together! We're still buzzing the first Caerphilly Comedy Festival was a success! 2 sold out shows, 14 comedians performing over three nights at three brilliant venues; The Project, Cynefin Caerffili at Y Banc and a Grand Finale at Caerphilly Workmen's Hall.

A massive thank you to everyone who came out, supported the shows as well as those who shared and shouted about the festival - looking at you The Big Phill - Caerphilly, Visit Caerphilly, Caerphilly Focus and Caerphilly Observer. And of course thank you to the amazing teams at our venues for their support.

Caerphilly Comedy Festival Night 3

Last night we brought the Caerphilly Comedy festival to a close with our Grand Finale at Caerphilly Workmen's Hall.Thank you to everyone that came the atmosphere at the Workmen's Hall was electric.

The Chris Barnes Comedian hosted an evening of fantastic comedy from Steffan Evans Comedy, Tommy Smith Comedian,Terry Mynott with the night and the festival being brought to a close with an expectational headline set from Leroy Brito Comic.

Night 2! Caerphilly Comedy Festival: School of Comedy Graduation Show.

As part of the festival we ran a series of free workshops to get people into comedy. And last night our 6 pupils performed their first stand up sets to a sold out room at Cynefin Caerffili at Y Banc.

Our pupils were supported by Gareth P Morris, Craig McLeod and we topped the whole thing off with a headline set from Mel Owen. With School of Comedy tutors and one night only double act The Chris Barnes Comedian and Tommy Smith Comedian on hosting duties.

Our Comedy School students are busy at Cynefin Caerffili at Y Banc putting the final touches to their sets as they prepare to perform stand up for the first time at Caerphilly Comedy Festival: School of Comedy Graduation Show.

Everyone has worked really hard and we can't wait to see them perform in front of a sold out audience.

Thank you to everyone that came to the first event Caerphilly Comedy Festival Launch Night x Project:Comedy 2nd Birthday!

We kicked off the festival and celebrated The Project Comedy's 2nd birthday in style and to a sold out room!

We had sets from Karen Sherrard Comedian, Craig McLeod, Sian Fisher with Headliner the mighty mirth making Messiah from Merthyr Welsh Jesus. And hosting the night we had Mr Project himself Ian Clarke!

The festival continues Friday with another sell out show Caerphilly Comedy Festival: School of Comedy Graduation Show.

And finishes Saturday with Caerphilly Comedy Festival: The Grand Finale with tickets still available - so get them now or miss out on the most exciting thing to come to Caerphilly since we got the Food Warehouse.
