We still have some places available on our Physical Theatre Workshop (Age 12-18) with Kitty Randle this Sunday.

Explore movement and physical theatre skills in the inspiring setting of Grin Low Woods. A dynamic, fun and energetic workshop developing physical awareness, movement vocabulary and performance skills.

A massive congratulations to our wonderful work experience cohort of 2025! Two weeks to create, build and perform Shakespeare’s The Tempest - five school performances and two sold-out fringe shows! Very proud of these hard-working youngsters.

It was lovely to host Burbage Primary School at the Pavilion Arts Centre, thank you to Cahoots and the cast of The Vanishing Elephant for some fun, creative workshops exploring the story behind the play! 🐘

Our 2025 Summer School has now sold out, however we still have 1 free bursary place available for anyone in receipt of free school meals. To apply, download the application form on the Buxton Opera House website.

Summer School will be running between Monday 11 - Friday 22 August (excluding weekends) and participants must be available for the full 10 days.

Making Space Dance Festival is always a highlight in the Buxton Opera House calendar! Last month we welcomed 475 young performers aged 5-18 to the stage across two evenings.

Thank you to the Buxton Opera House Youth Contemporary Dance Company who opened the show both evenings with their new piece It's About Time.
