Another little postcard I did, this time for the Winsor & Newton Art Mail gallery!

If you haven't seen it yet, it's an online gallery where people from all over the world have submitted postcards with their work on. It's easy to lose an hour or two scrolling through them all!

Some postcards are being exhibited in London and New York next month, and other postcards will be auctioned to raise money for Hospital Rooms a charity that transforms NHS mental health hospitals using contemporary art 💚🎨

I'm really happy to have my two postcards included in the Art in Whitefield Art on a Postcard exhibition!

I went along to the opening earlier and was amazed at the variety of work! Almost 300 postcards from over a hundred artists - they are all for sale and there really is something for everyone!

The exhibition is on from 28th Aug - 3rd Sept, 12 - 4pm at the Besses o' th' Barn building in Whitefield.

Spent a really good afternoon at Turbary Woods Owl and Birds of Prey Sanctuary earlier. Yes, that's my head the owl is sat on in the first photo 😂

The flying show was great, the birds were beautiful and you can tell how dedicated the volunteers are to the birds & the sanctuary ❤️ I managed to get plenty of photos for inspiration 😉 I can never have too many owl photos 😆

I’ve just realised I never posted the last week of my watercolour classes at Feel Good at The Studio 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m blaming the hot weather, it affects my memory!! I just want to thank Karen McEvoy for all her help and for looking after everyone so well with drinks and the usual lovely treats 😊

I also want to thank everyone who came along, once again I was impressed with the work produced, a mix of seascapes and carrying on with the pebbles from the previous week. It’s so good to see people progressing from week to week and they were just the loveliest bunch to work with 💛

I’m really happy to say I’ve been invited back to do another lot of classes in October, I’m looking forward to them already! 🎨

I’m a little bit behind posting this as my watercolour classes actually started at Feel Good at The Studio last week!

For the first week we did sunflowers, something bright and cheerful for what ended up a scorching week!🌞 We also created our backgrounds for this weeks subject as I thought they would take a while to dry - I needn’t have worried though they were dry within an hour because of the heat 😂

So this week we did pebbles! The backgrounds were created by adding cling film over the top of wet paint to create abstract lines and shapes in it which can then be used to pick out the pebble shapes. The work created with it was fantastic! They were all so different and everyone had their own unique take on what they wanted to do🧡

I’m looking forward to seeing next week’s work ☺️

I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone I've met over the last two weekends at Helmshore Textile Museum and Bury Agricultural Show!

Ever the introvert, I'm much more comfortable sat hiding behind my stall, but I also really love meeting people and have missed not doing as many markets this year.
