🫍 UNPOPULAR OPINION: I THINK SEAWORLD GETS A REALLY BAD RAP. 🫍

And after this trip, I feel even more strongly about it. 💙

We’ve visited SeaWorld before, but this time we took the time to slow down, learn and speak to the people who dedicate their lives to caring for these animals — and honestly, seeing their passion first-hand was incredible.

We met Joe, who works with the rescued manatees. 🐋 He’s worked with animals all his life and has been at SeaWorld for just two months, but his knowledge was incredible. We could have listened to him all day!

Did you know manatees have amazing memories and navigation abilities? They can remember waterways over huge distances, moving seasonally in search of warmer or cooler waters. 🤯

And then… THE RIDES! 🎢

This was the first time I’d braved more of SeaWorld’s coasters (apart from Infinity Falls) and WOW! MAKO was insane. The airtime is next level! 😱

The classic Florida storms rolled in on both visits 🌩️ but we still had the BEST time.

And then came the moment that made my trip… 🥹🤍

BELUGAS.

I saw beluga whales for the first time and I cried. They’ve always been my favourite, and seeing them swimming and playing right in front of me was something I’ll never forget.

For me, SeaWorld isn’t just about the rides.

It’s the animal care. The rescue work. The education. The conservation. The people who dedicate their lives to these incredible animals. 🐋🦭🫍

I know people have strong opinions about SeaWorld — and that’s okay. But I also think sometimes it’s worth seeing things for yourself, asking questions and listening to the people doing the work.

We went expecting a fun day out…

We came away with even more appreciation for these incredible animals and the people caring for them. 💙

SeaWorld, you’ve officially won us over. We cannot wait to come back! 🫍🌊🎢

🌺✨ HEY, WE’RE OHANA DRAMA UK! ✨🌺

If you’re new here… welcome to our ohana! ❤️ And if you’ve been following us for a while, you might notice our family — and our adventures — have changed quite a bit since we first introduced ourselves!

We’re Samantha & Chris, Mum and Dad to our two adventure-loving teens, Lily-Mae (17) and Joshua (15). 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦✨

Since 2020, we’ve been sharing our family adventures — from Merlin attractions and UK days out to Walt Disney World, Universal and everything in between. 🏰🎢🌴

And Disney has become a very special part of our story… so much so that we’re now proud Disney Vacation Club owners at Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village! 🦒🐘❤️

But Ohana Drama has always been about more than just the places we visit.

We’re a very neurodivergent family, and sharing our experiences of Autism and ADHD is a huge part of what we do. Joshua was diagnosed autistic and with ADHD when he was younger, and in 2023 Samantha discovered she had ADHD too. Then, at the beginning of 2026, other family members received their diagnosis. 🧩💜

So our adventures don’t always look like everyone else’s.

There are sensory challenges, overwhelm, anxiety, routines, exhaustion and plenty of moments where we have to adapt — but there’s also SO much joy, laughter, excitement, resilience and amazing memories along the way. ❤️

We want to show the real side of family adventures — the magical moments, the chaos, the meltdowns, the laughter, the planning, the accessibility, the things that go wrong… and everything that makes the journey worthwhile.

Whether you’re here for the Disney magic 🏰✨, travel inspiration ✈️, family adventures 🌎, neurodiversity awareness 🧩, or simply to follow along with our wonderfully chaotic ohana…

We’re so happy you’re here. 🥰

Because to us, ohana really does mean family — and family means nobody gets left behind. ❤️🌺

Come along for the adventure! 👇

💗 I nearly didn’t post this picture but here we are… This is me. In a bikini. And I’m not hiding anymore. 💗

There was a time when I would have done anything to hide my body. I was ashamed of how I looked. I worried about what people would think, what they might say, and whether I was “allowed” to wear certain things because of my size.

But here’s the thing…

People don’t know your story.

They see a body. They don’t see everything that body has been through.

I live with lipoedema — a condition where the body stores fat abnormally and which is influenced by hormones. There is currently no cure, and for many people, surgery is the only way to remove the affected fat.

This body has carried two babies. 🤍

It has been through hell. I’ve been in intensive care five times because of severe asthma exacerbations. It has carried me through illness, pain, weight changes, motherhood, heartbreak, grief, healing and everything in between.

And yet for so long, I looked at this body and saw all the things I thought were wrong with it.

Now I look at it differently.

I see a body that survived.

A body that carried my babies.

A body that kept going.

A body that deserves to be loved, respected and enjoyed — exactly as it is.

So yes… I’m wearing the bikini. 👙
And no, I’m not going to apologise for it.

Because being plus size doesn’t mean you have to cover up.
Lipoedema doesn’t mean you have to hide.
Stretch marks, scars, cellulite, loose skin, lumps, bumps — none of these make you any less deserving of feeling beautiful.

You do not have to shrink yourself to make other people comfortable.

Wear the bikini. Wear the shorts. Wear the crop top. Wear whatever makes YOU feel happy.

Someone else’s opinion of your body is not your responsibility.

We all have a story.
We all carry things people cannot see.
And nobody has the right to judge a life they know nothing about.

So be happy.
Be free.
Take the damn photo. 📸
Wear the damn bikini. 👙
And most importantly…

BE YOU. ❤️

Because this body has been through hell — and I’m finally learning to celebrate the fact that it brought me through it. ✨ ❤️

And just like that, we are boarded ready to fly back to the UK. I really don’t know where the last 2 weeks have gone but I have lots to share. This was a different holiday where we didn’t do many parks just SeaWorld and honestly it’s been fantastic. See you in 8 hours! 🇺🇸🇬🇧✈️🩷
