A FINAL THANK YOU TO OUR ARTISTS

Simon watson

Simon works in a variety of media and styles including sculpture, drawing, digital and painting and have exhibited widely throughout the UK and sold to many art collectors world wide. He has received awards for his work and was a finalist in the “Not the Turner prize” for the painting “The Groom Smoking” ( judged by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Ronnie Wood ) and runner up in the Staffordshire open art competition .
He has a wide and varied portfolio ranging from song writing and band building projects to sculpture/painting commissions and community art projects.

Heather Horsley

Heather is a Burton based Artist, Printmaker and Illustrator who presently lives with her partner Grahame and her three boys.

Heather Produces various styles for the Greetings Industry and Surface pattern design such as cards, wraps and surface pattern design and is represented by an Agency who sells work in Europe and worldwide. Heather also runs a portrait business.

Heather has been involved in exhibitions and shows over the years and has completed large scale mural designs in Burton schools and Nurseries.

Sue Guthrie is a professional artist based in the West Midlands. She has been involved in many sculpture trails and finds their appeal somewhat addictive. Lynne Hollingsworth is an award winning artist and designer and a leading female mural artist. Lynne is head of the HD Art Creative Studio where she works predominantly on mural design and illustration projects. She has coordinated many large-scale arts projects across the UK with a high profile client base. Lynne works extensively on hospital projects across the UK, working with start of life care, oncology, dementia and end of life care. David Tunks

David took a foundation course at Burton Technical collage late in life and achieved a pass in art, textiles, 3D and photography. He has worked in art studio producing bespoke artwork for the Japanese and American market. He has also been involved with theatrical productions, painting scenery and prop making. Preferring to paint with oils he is happy with acrylics and is now enjoying the art of iPad drawing.

Richard Rudge

Richard is comics and illustration artist from the West Midlands,
Richard has a distinctive graphic style using various inking techniques
and experience painting scale models. Richard has self published several
comic books and was part of the crowdfunded comic book anthology
“Off the Mark”in 2018”
Richard took part in the Burton Swan Trail in 2020 with his piece “Tranquility”
The "Secluded Waterfall" is a follow up to his "Tranquility" swan and depicts a
calming scene in an overgrown forest. A stream cuts through the forest and
forms a waterfall as it falls off the cliff, creating a lake below. The form of the
carousel horse is used as a window onto this scene, a view point into another world.
The scene will be created using textured painting techniques such as sponges,
cloths and tooth brushes to create a natural effect

Cathryn has been surrounded by beautiful artwork all of her life as a member of the Howell family. She has always seen art as her true passion and is something she showed promise at from a young age. Her style is very much influenced by that of both her grandfather Sid Howell and great grandfather Albert Howell
