A huge thank you to everyone who made our barrel auction a success, especially the wonderful bidders!

The total from the evening has now increased to £6,850 thanks to the generosity of those who were in attendance and friends of the project.

This money will hepl fund a permanent art piece in Burton, Making Trails will release more about that project in the new year.

For now we wanted to share some absolutely incredible images from Tuesday night, and pay tribute to the team who brought you the event.

Enormous thanks go to Claire Barber for being my glamorous assistant for the evening. Datties Soul Food, Caribbean Caterers for the utterly delectable delights she wowed our guests with! Alex Cantrill-Jones for the absolutely stunning images from the evening (I simultaneously love and hate how well he caught all my expressions!). To the Brewhouse Arts Centre for hosting our event and to our Mayor cllr Shelagh Mckiernan for her welcome and aiding our presentation.

Tomorrow is the day of our Burton Barrel Roll Auction—a night of art, heritage, and celebration and its not too late to join us!

Our venue is the Brewhouse Arts Centre, right in the heart of Burton upon Trent, for an unforgettable evening.

Starting at 7 PM, enjoy a welcome reception with drinks and canapés while you marvel at the one-of-a-kind barrel sculptures that have brightened the town.

Throughout the evening, you’ll have the chance to bid on these stunning artworks, participate in a lively trail quiz, and take part in our special presentation. With a reserve price of £400 per barrel, the bidding is sure to be fierce—so come ready to compete!

We are so grateful to the wonderful artists who created the stunning artwork on our barrels that we wanted to reintroduce you to them

Rachael and Phillippa Corcutt are illustrators and twin sisters who work together as an illustration collective based in Burton. After graduating from the University of Derby with a First Class (Hons) Degree in Illustration, they have gone on to create illustrations for children's books, magazines and greetings cards, some of their clients include Scholastic publishing, Oxford University Press and Harper Collins.

They have also painted over 30 sculptures for public art trails across the UK
