Despite the red alert heatwave, our amazing artists weren't going to let the weather get in the way of a creative afternoon! 🎨

This week at For Making's Sake, we experimented with a fascinating painting technique using liquid watercolours, clear PVA glue, and salt to create beautiful textured artworks bursting with colour and pattern.

As the paint spread, blended, and reacted with the salt, everyone enjoyed exploring what might happen next. There were plenty of surprises along the way, proving that some of the most exciting moments in art come from experimentation and curiosity.

At Boundless, we believe there are no "right" or "wrong" ways to create. Sessions like this are all about enjoying the process, trying new things, and discovering what is possible when we give ourselves permission to play.

Well done to everyone who joined us and created such wonderful work in challenging temperatures! ☀️✨

Last week at For Making's Sake our artists made these beautiful colourful prints using watercolour paints, coffee filters and water.

We placed the coffee filters on to paper then damped them with water. We then dropped the colours onto the coffee filter and added water using spray bottles and pipettes to spread and mix the colours. It was magical watching the paints transform and change.

Our artists have been mark making with inks and found objects this week at For Making's Sake. We made drawing tools with lollipop sticks and string, and used cardboard, pipettes, pipe cleaners, wooden sticks, and straws to apply ink to the page. What a fun week for creativity and experimentation.
