Wow! What a day yesterday turned out to be. ❤️

Most importantly, I watched my stepdaughter Kate marry her wonderful now-husband, Matt, on what turned out to be a truly perfect day.

However, on a personal note, I was unbelievably honoured when Kate and Matt asked me many months ago to create a painting for their welcome display on their big day.

The painting is my impression of the beautiful venue where they said their vows in front of their friends and family — Elmore Court in Gloucestershire.

Completed in oils, acrylics and pastels, it measures 100 × 70cm and was created on a handmade canvas board.

It has been a real labour of love, and one I’d do again in a heartbeat.

Once again, congratulations to Mr & Mrs Mitchell. ❤️ It was an absolute pleasure and a privilege to share your special day with you both.

Hazy Days & Daisy Chains is my latest painting.

A quiet summer moment by the river…
where the world slows down, butterflies drift through the meadow, and the only important task for this young lady is making another daisy chain.

Sometimes the simplest moments are the ones we remember forever.
