I’m enjoying painting boats at the moment. I don’t know anything about boats but they give an artist plenty to deal with. None of them is quite there yet, another attempt with a bit more confidence might work. The beach picture is the most satisfactory - I had two goes.

I’m working on a picture for my cousin. First attempts were a bit clumsy so this version I did all wet on wet varying the strength of pigment. Fun to do. Less is more.

Happy new year everyone. I thought I should start a new page since I want to do a lot more painting this year and it's an easy way to keep pictures circulating on this instaface malarky.

Here is one I have yet to finish. It shows the amazing Ron Flockhart in 1956 in a full broadside with the D Type The words he wrote on the original photo gave me the title " You blokes wouldn't know a drift if you saw one" he must have been completely mad, I'm sure I would have liked him.
