Beneath The Horizon - Abstracted Sunrise

Beneath the Horizon explores that space between movement and stillness—where things shift, settle, and begin again.
Inspired by the feel of a twilight sky reflected on open water, this piece blends deep teal, ultramarine, gold, and crimson in layered, textured strokes. There’s energy in the surface—like waves or thoughts rising and falling—but also a sense of quiet held in the centre.
It invites you to stand at the edge of something, not as an end point, but as a place to pause, reflect, and maybe begin again.
I'm delighted that Beneath the Horizon will be part of Small Blue Dot, an exhibition celebrating creativity while supporting Painting Progress' and Packed Lunch Production work making art more accessible through community programmes.
