Congratulations and WELL DONE to PM Academy Student, Carter, who was on set yesterday filming an exciting Christmas campaign. Carter worked with some other young PQA'ers on this project and was chaperoned by Beth (taking the photos!) and Sofiane. Here he is pictured with Dan and Dan who were the directors on the project. Great job, Carter!! We can't wait to see it when it is out later this year!

The news is out!!! Thanet PM will be performing SHREK The Musical at the Gulbenkian Theatre, Canterbury in May 2027!!!!

Our AM academy are performing in the West End in 2027 so it is a hugely busy, exciting year for PQA Thanet!!!!!

This Saturday afternoon, our Blue and Green Group students will be presenting their sharing of work. This one has a very chocolatey theme indeed! We look forward to welcoming family and friends to the academy to watch!

We are delighted to welcome our new Film and TV teacher, Jane to PQA Thanet!

Jane has over 25 years’ experience in Film, TV, Theatre and Events as a Set and Production Designer. She has worked with leading companies including the BBC, Sky, Disney, Northern Ballet and Amazon, with credits on productions such as Breeders, The Worst Witch, Hetty Feather, The Furchester Hotel and Britain’s Best Young Artist, as well as films including Deep Cover and Sylvia. Jane is passionate about bringing her real-world experience into her classes, inspiring students to explore and create.

On Saturday, we got to explore the differences between film and TV studios, including how studio prepares for live events.

Monologue Slam results for the PM academy!! There were some incredible performances last weekend and guest judge, Lesley, had a difficult job picking the winners. Our academy champions were: Allegra (Red group), Lilac (Blue Group) and Carter (Green Group).

Their winning performances have been filmed and submitted to the PQA national finals so watch this space!!!!

Get ready PM Academy!! This Saturday we are taking part in the national PQA Monologue Slam!!! All our PM academy students will have the opportunity to perform to our guest judge, professional actor Lesley, for feedback and the chance to be crowned Thanet winner and then on to the national final!!
