Pip Theatre aims to provide a collaboration of art forms to the wider community of the North West. A main focus at Pip is education and the experience of learning practically. Another important aspect that Pip wishes to develop is the importance of embracing culture within a community. Working nationally and internationally Pip aims to create connections through the arts in order to build bridges
within a multicultural community. The founder of Pip studied Community Drama at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Pip has stemmed from projects that Clara has undertaken as an undergraduate at LIPA. Clara's main interest was working in schools, delivering drama in education based workshops. Storytelling, creative writing and movement are some of the main areas of interest and these art forms are prominent in Clara’s facilitation. In Clara's final year at LIPA she delivered an international project with a focus of understanding differences and similarities within culture from a young age. Creating connections with schools in Liverpool, India and Nepal allowing participants to communicate with people from the other side of the world. The project was based around workshops in Liverpool which were then transferred via email, with the use of photographs, videos and phone calls. The participants were able to learn about a different culture as well as share information about their own culture. As well as developing connections in schools Pip aims to provide fun and fresh activities for young people of all ages, within a community, a school or even a festival. Pip strives on becoming versatile and adaptable to any opportunity that may arise. A reminder that the arts is vital from a young age and providing opportunities within the arts can help to nurture and grow community spirit.
