In my Grandma's day it was known as divination, fortune telling, and it was perhaps scary and dogmatic. I believe in endless possibility and positive manifestation. A person's future is theirs for the making, and it may only be ego and fear that drives us to want to jump the gun. My Maternal Grandma is an incredible woman and has been a devout Christian all her life. But although you can take the
woman out of the occult you can't take the occult out of the woman and her perspicacity inspires me to this day. Both of my parents have an interest in tarot cards and gave me my first deck. I have been working with the tarot since the summer of 2001 when in a dusty campsite just south of Barcelona I began to suspend my disbelief and the disbelief of my friends. We witnessed time and time again the cards ability to mirror our outer lives and inner workings and we mused at length on how this could be. Today, in 2017 I have my own theories although I do not expect to ever know for sure the answers to such great mysteries. I am lucky enough to have a therapist for a mother or a mother for a therapist (!), and I have been working in therapeutic environments for most of my adult life. Bearing witness to someone's process -particularly when the changes are so profound- is a real gift, and I thrive on seeing and experiencing the strength and boundlessness of the human spirit. The cards continue to be an amazing resource for self-development for myself and those I read for, and I am deeply grateful for my practice and for those who are so kind as to allow me to peek into their lives, just for a moment, and be a part of their journey.
