That’s a wrap .. for now!!
One of the moments that encapsulated the richness and joy of this sweet and short residency show in the Launderette was the sharing of food.

Each day we slotted into snatched breakfasts, shared lunches, sugar laden coffee breaks, and a wonderful ‘bring a pot’ dinner - all very special and nourishing and Real. There’s not much to beat the ‘glue’ that comes from these moments.

Simone’s structure - cast hands and hollow pipes - a daily reminder of the intention, effort and patience thats needed to keep things .. people.. objects together. With that structure in place there was room for the joy, laughter, frustration, irritation, difference, connection, space, aloneness & togetherness that a group needs if it is to be real and vulnerable. And a place of growth .

Holding Space brought together sculpture, sound, drawing and performance - and an amazing bunch of people - to investigate the delicate and vibrant threads that bind us to objects, environments and each other.
