🍽️Following Blessed Hands at the The Wardrobe Theatre, join us for a special Sephardi-inspired supper club at Coexist Community Kitchen.

Over a three-course meal, we’ll explore themes of migration, memory, food, family and belonging through stories, conversation and a talk from writer and social anthropologist Dr Michal Nahman.

You don’t need to have seen the show to join us, but we highly recommend it! Come share food, ideas and the stories that connect us across generations and borders.

Blessed Hands shares lovable Savta holding a mirror to authenticity, nostalgia and victimhood in the Jewish eternal experience. She explores her past and realises the true meaning of love and solidarity in real progress for the world.

The solo show takes scholarly research into Sephardi and Mizrachi foodways and identities to the public. It tells the tales and tragedies of one fictionalised woman, an amalgamation of interviews and historical research, through acting, comedy, dance and song.

She is an anthropologist, writer, and performer who bridges academia and performance art. Throughout her solo show she’ll tell the a story from the point of view of a Sephardi Grandmother with themes of heritage, food, authenticity, solidarity and victimhood.
