“Why do many patients misunderstand important healthcare information?”

It’s not because the information isn’t provided.

It’s often because patients are already anxious, overwhelmed, or fearful, making complex medical information difficult to process.

Sometimes there are also cultural and educational differences between healthcare providers and patients, which can make complex medical information harder to understand.

People with low health literacy may struggle with long or written materials, making it difficult to fully engage with important health decisions like screenings or treatment options.

This is where animation plays an important role in healthcare.

📝Research published in Frontiers in Digital Health in 2025 shows that animation is effective at improving patient knowledge (80% of trials), attitudes (53%), and behaviours (63%)compared with traditional written materials.

Animation helps patients understand information faster and feel more confident about their care.

At CC Animation, we simplify complex healthcare and research ideas into engaging animations, designed with accessibility standards.❤️

If you're looking for a clearer way to communicate complex healthcare information, feel free to connect with our experts who combine healthcare knowledge with strong visual storytelling.

🎬 New Animation Release!

When creating this film, we knew it needed to speak to many people at once. Some viewers are healthcare professionals looking for clear information about the For Me Provider Collaborative and how to make a referral. Others may be patients — or their loved ones — approaching the topic of secure mental health for the very first time.

Because secure mental health can feel overwhelming or emotional, especially during difficult moments, it was essential that the animation offered more than just information. It needed to be clear, accessible, reassuring, and sensitive — a resource that helps people understand the journey ahead while feeling supported.

We’re proud to share this animation and hope it offers clarity and comfort to everyone who may need it. 💙

Real stories, to inspire real change.

We worked with EP:IC in collaboration with people with lived experience of the probation service, to produce a series of animations shining a light on the importance of prioritising health for those on probation. Covering a range of subjects from Lung Health to Mantal Health, the animations use real stories to encourage viewers to make sure they are getting the help they need, and provide information on where to get started.

Don’t be foiled by Foil!
We all want to do our part to help the environment, but with so many different types of packaging in our lives, it can be tricky to know the bast way to do it.
That’s why West Sussex recycles commissioned us to make a series of animations answering many common recycling queries - like how do you know which foil can go in your recycling bin?
Please check locally for advice on how to recycle where you are 😊

Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Melissa!

‘It has been a delight working with Danielle, Dann and Rosie on our animation over the past few months. None of our team had any prior experience in this area but we didn’t need to worry as CC Animations patiently guided us through the process. They very quickly understood the message we wished to get across and their rich experience in the health and social care sector ensured that they were able to develop a script and drawings that perfectly conveyed all of the information we wanted to share in a very succinct and accessible way. We are really happy with the final product and are excited to share it with the young people, families and professionals that we work with.’
