It was a pleasure to hear share their poetry and poses a homage to the collaborative project “Prose and pose” that we ran through festivals for a few years!

We drew and took in the imagery of this story telling wordsmith before settling down for a long pose and Gracie recited from their new book “Soap on a Rope” telling a funny and heartwarming story of a folk musician. It’s not a ukelele.

Punk performance poet Bassie Gracie is promoting her new novel, SOAP ON A ROPE along side drawing in a collaboration with alt fringe and

Gracie Bassie is also known for a poetry and story collection called The Fishing Museum Book, available on Bandcamp and can be found on the festival and music scene sharing poetry, story telling and bass in bands such as beans on toast. A chilled night with live music and life drawing with Nik usually accompanied with chellos and synths we were honoured be a solo performance of some new material on keys.

The first half we had 4 poses with songs from Niks hero Joni Mitchell “Paprika Planes” to Radiohead. The second half we drew Niks live performance of some new material - check out on Bandcamp, support local music and go check them out this July at Brighton Unitarian church at their next gig with

A night of life drawing with theatre - along side the monologue and SHEENA will be sharing their “wild women” performance from written by .l.kelly_

Starting with a few short poses as we get to know the character we will finish with a long pose as the story unfolds. Draw as usual or create a story on your paper - all abilities welcome - with a mindful relaxing approach.

A spectacular performance by model, actor and musician bringing all their skills together in their life drawing performance of “Lone Wolf” be sure to book this experience in to your next life drawing event! Or pop along to the next showing if you missed out….

….In a field there is a clearing, dusk flirts with the night, a fire blazes and a lone wolf sings for
the part of you that rarely gets sung to…
