Wherever possible I use recycled/recyclable card and biodegradable bags. I first tried knitting to fill in that strange time between the Christmas and new year of 2015, after being given a children’s knitting kit as kind of joke Christmas gift. Despite having a neurological condition, Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) which causes weakness in my hands, I soon discovered knitting to be therapy for my hands. I also find the rhythmic action alongside the mental attention needed while knitting has become almost like meditation for me, easing some of my symptoms during episodes of depression.
