We’re yet again inviting you to submit to our BRIFF 10th anniversary next year!✨

Inspired by the film The Wickerman; our next deadline is the 31st October 2027🎸

A fun fact for you; our sister festival Hastings Rocks has a very unique link to this incredible film. Our Saturday halloween screening features a precious film Wrath of the Gods. Written and directed by Justin Hardy (son of The Wicker Man director Robin Hardy)

Halloween at Rocks is a real celebration of the collection of films with a very special connection 🪵

Submit to BRIFF27 & buy tickets to Hastings Rocks Film Festival for an extraordinary halloween 🎃

Brighton Rocks is proud to champion women filmmakers and creatives wherever we can and to call out sexism in all its forms.

Here’s the fearless Toyah Willcox saying it like it is at our 2026 Awards Ceremony. ❤️‍🔥

A little throwback to our LUNA premiere🌙

We loved bringing LUNA to the big screen at Duke’s at Komedia for a special BRIFF screening!
Set in Brighton on the last day on Earth, this indie masterpiece gave us plenty to think about — and we loved hearing more about the making of the film during our Q&A. ❤️
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and to actress Sophoulla Gibson and director Andrew McKenzie for sharing the stories and creative thinking behind the film.
Independent cinema, local stories and conversations that stay with you.

That’s what BRIFF is all about.❤️

Supporting student filmmakers is a huge part of what we do. Students bring fresh voices, new ideas and the energy that keeps independent cinema moving forward; and we’re proud to champion them at BRIFF.

To all the students heading back to uni this week, good luck! Keep creating, keep experimenting and keep making films. We can’t wait to see what you bring to BRIFF’s 10th Anniversary ❤️🎬
