The long-awaited BRIFF’S BEST map has officially arrived.!!!🌊☀️

A film festival should be about more than what happens on screen. It’s about discovering a city, meeting new people, continuing conversations long after the credits roll, and finding those hidden gems you’ll want to return to long after festival week is over.

We’ve handpicked some of our favourite independent venues across Brighton (from late night cocktails and post screening pints to unforgettable meals and networking spots) all places that capture the spirit of this incredible city.

Even better? Your BRIFF pass, sticker, or lanyard unlocks exclusive offers and discounts at many of these venues throughout the festival.:)))

So whether you’re grabbing a drink at DeadWax, settling in at Lost in the Lanes, heading to The Mesmerist after a screening, or discovering somewhere completely new, consider this your guide to experiencing Brighton like a local.

🎬🍸🍽️🌊

Save the map, explore the city, support independent businesses, and make the most of BRIFF 2026.

6 days until BRIFF 2026!!

We sat down with Marcus the director and creator of ASKING4It to discuss his work and upcoming screening at Brighton Rocks!✨⭐️

Opening the festival on Monday 15th June 2026 @ Daltons 🎬

6-8:30pm!!

ASKING4It is a bold new film that tackles consent with a sharp satirical edge. Seen through an unsettling lens, the story takes the familiar body-swap trope and twists it into something darkly comic and thought-provoking. At its centre is a man who views women only as objects of desire- until one morning, he wakes to find his reflection has changed into a woman. Confronted with life on the other side of the mirror, he discovers the true cost of being “desirable.”💗

TOMORROW’S TOO LATE 🎬

In this interview clip, filmmaker and musician Dylan Holloway discusses Tomorrow’s Too Late; a powerful and deeply personal documentary exploring gender transition, identity, music, and the journey towards living authentically.

Offering an intimate look at the realities of transition, the film follows Dylan as he navigates the highs of gender euphoria, the challenges of vulnerability and self doubt, and the question of what it means to redefine yourself while pursuing the career and passion you love.

We’re incredibly proud to be screening this moving and important film as part of BRIFF 2026.
