We are so lucky, and so grateful, to have Angela and Heather as our costumes team for our show, Come Alive! They are creating the most incredible handmade costumes, that have been personalised so carefully for our dancers, and we cannot wait to see these light up the stage! We have been so fortunate to have so much help at hand as we work tirelessly behind the scenes, from our wonderful dancers parents and carers. This show is going to be so magical, we cannot wait 💗🧑‍🩰✨🧚

We are so grateful to the community centres we work in every week, and would like to say thank you to all three of them for keeping us safe, accessible and visible in the wider community. There are three that we work in currently:

Woodingdean Community Association and Centre - this is where our journey began in Spring 2023, and where we are mainly based, with 5 weekly classes happening here! A special shout out to Elaine, who looks after us so nicely. The spaces here are very special to us, and have enabled so many dreams to come true. They also help us with safely storing our ever growing collection of props and resources!

Hangleton Community Centre - this is where our second ever group Jazz Hands was born, and has remained here since January 2024. The space we use is so beautiful, huge and inspiring. This centre widened our reach to people based in Hove and even West Sussex. We look forward to our time here every week.

Saltdean Lido - we began here with Dreams early 2026, and this venue has given us a beautiful space to work in. The whole venue is so welcoming, caring, beautiful and inspiring to work in. The team look after us every week, and we are so grateful for their incredible hospitality. This venue has widened our reach hugely with so many local people from Saltdean coming to Dreams!

Creating some content for our show Come Alive.

This morning we did an animation session with our animator Harry, there we-
* did some drawing
* used plasticine to create models
* used a computer program and lightbox to animate the models
* danced to add ourselves into the animation

This fantastic organisation is running a Sensory Processing Workshop, details below 🙂

Workshop for parent carers:

As part of our ParentDAY programme, we are starting with a sensory processing workshop.

With a talk, a cuppa and opportunity to ask questions, I have invited Jen Marillat to join us as guest speaker.

Jen Marillat works with children facing autistic burnout, offering a gentle PDA‑friendly approach.

Through dramatherapy and EMDR, she supports children to rebuild confidence, reconnect with their family, and find joy in daily life.

About the session:

Guest Speaker Jen Marillat — Dramatherapist & EMDR‑Trained

A chance to reflect on your child’s situation and identify the areas where they may need extra support.

You’ll leave with simple, effective tips you can use at home, plus an easy‑to‑understand overview of how different therapies can work and how they can help your child feel more confident and secure.
