And the answer to yesterdays quiz question?

Erik Weisz, from Budapest, moved to the USA at the age of 4 and eventually became a magician, adopting the name Houdini - Harry Houdini - The Great Houdini.

The book that inspired him to become a magician was written by world renowned french magician Robert Houdin. Someone said to Erik that in France, if you add the letter 'i' to the end of something, it means it is like that. So Erik added i to Houdin and became Houdini.

Harry Houdini died in October 1926, nearly 100 years ago, yet Houdini still remains as the most famous magician today... even Dua Lipa and Eminem were singing about him only a couple of years ago.

We made a last minute impromtu pit stop yesterday in Stratford Upon Avon where I spent the 2019/2020 pantomime season. Lovely to see it during the summer months, lots of changes and new shops too! It was bustling with tourists and felt like a different place to what I remembered only a few years ago.

So that's the last '24K Magic' show on the road until September. But you can still catch me in 'The Summer Show' at the West Cliff Theatre, Clacton on Sea this August!

Thanks for catching the show so far if you've seen it and to the theatres who've had me. Thanks to Nicky Trix who has been my roadie for my shows this year and I look forward to tweaking it some more for September.

When JK Rowling attended the University of Exeter, the local surroundings became inspirations for her novels... Gandy Street became Diagon Alley and The Vaults became Gringotts Bank... both just a few steps away from the Exeter Pheonix where I performed my '24K Magic' show this week.

Huge thanks to everyone that came to the show. Fin for teching, Eddie for ushering, Anna for managing the venue whilst I was there, and my buddy for giving me a helping hand too.

Lovely to see for the first time in years. He was my entertainment manager many years ago when we both started out on Brittany Ferries.
