Writing a play about the good, the bad and the ugly of Alzheimer's, our family relationships, has made me feel so much closer to you.

After finally feeling some sense of normal after an amazing, busy, life-changing I have managed to get some time to count the donations made by our wonderful audience at our three performances.

You beautiful souls who not only came to watch the performance but also donated your notes and pennies, your donations added up to a brilliant £144*!!

*plus £36 in gift aid

We hit just over half of the target I wanted to raise which I'm super happy about but if we could reach the £500 that would be incredible 😍

That's a wrap for 2025!

I still can't quite believe my first time writing and directing has received such fantastic feedback but in all honesty it wouldn't have been the play it was without all the people who contributed to it.

The cast: who brought the characters to life, made me a better director, helped me mold the scenes, cut out the fluff but keep the heart.
j.harwood for being the best techie and saving me from ruining my show!

The contributions: for giving me permission to tell parts of her story, reading my drafts, helping with the Scottish vernacular and paying the registration fee
cooper.754 and for sponsoring the fringe costs, flying over to come see it and just generally believing in me!

for reading my drafts, lending her yarn and sorting out all sounds and music

My husband for keeping me fed, watered, looking after the house and dog while I've been running around like a headless chicken this last month or so.

Shelle for reaching out to me and helping so much with our fundraising for

Debbie Twitchen and for lending us a space to rehearse

for giving us a venue and lending us props and for giving us a platform.

To those who reviewed us, donated, came to watch, to those who couldn't but sent your well wishes!

I may have shed a tear after reading this one last night , I think it finally sank in that something that was just an idea last year has come to fruition.

It's meant so much to me that people have connected to this story and I hope to share this outside of Brighton, so watch this space!

I'm honestly so chuffed with the reception Slipping Through My Fingers has had.

I am so grateful for all of the support I've received with this work as it's so so close to my heart.

The cast have done a brilliant job of bringing my words to life....

With our last rehearsal in Lewes this week we are show ready for you on Sunday and Tuesday!

We want to say a big thank you to Deborah Twitchen for letting use the space. She does amazing work in Lewes with the food bank and donations for the community.

We are so grateful for all the support we've received with the show and donations to our fundraiser, to quote a classic Christmas film "love really is all around" ❤️
