FunkyMezcla had a fantastic night last night. It wasn't promoted as it was for a private event - Barulho's 25th anniversary party, which followed the live performances on the seafront that the afternoon.

A room full of enthusiastic percussionists up for a boogie and a descent sound system were all the ingredients we needed to play some top tunes and keep people on their feet. We were honoured to be asked to play for such a special event.

Two thirds of FunkyMezcla or maybe the whole compliment, will be out again on Friday 13th June at The Dover Castle. It's Slap Ed's birthday weekend so pop by and say hello. 😎

A fantastic offer popped up in my feed for a Rega record deck for £2. Too good to be true, I thought. It is indeed a scam:

BEWARE! A number of scam posts are circulating Facebook offering Rega products for £2.00 this is a phishing scam!

The return of FunkyMezcla - for one night at least. The boys will be back on the decks to play at The Dover Castle tomorrow night, Saturday 20th July. There's a street party during the day with live music outside on Stage 45 - check it out. The stage closes down at 8pm and then FunkyMezcla will take you through to late closing.

World beats, funky treats, perky pop and dancing feet! 😎

Saturday 25th from 9pm until 12.30am.

A multi-genre mellay of melodious musical mayhem. More than you can shake a stick at so come along and shake your b***y too! From rock and pop to ska and reggae via funk, soul, Latin, African and more, Slap Ed will be spinning the vinyl for your holiday weekend enjoyment.
