In this clip VDT Trainee in Socially Engaged Movement Practice, Rosie reflects on how the traineeship is shaping her practice - especially the shift from working with dancers at university to collaborating with non-professionals.

She talks about developing her work as a facilitator, teacher and choreographer, and how the traineeship is deepening her understanding of working with people who come to movement from different backgrounds and experiences.

VDT trainee in Socially Engaged Movement Practice, Rosie Greenwood reflects on the first time she met Artistic Director Charlotte Vincent while studying at Bath Spa University .

In this video, Rosie talks about how that encounter shaped her understanding of socially engaged movement and inspired her to explore VDT’s work further — eventually leading her to write about Charlotte and the company in her dissertation.

Hannah O'Hara has joined VDT’s team as our new Archive Assistant working on this long-term digital project.

Hannah is a lens-based artist, facilitator and archive practitioner whose work explores photography, moving image and bookmaking through themes of memory, place and heritage. Alongside her artistic practice, she has extensive experience delivering community-focused arts and heritage projects, working with museums, archives and cultural organisations to preserve and reinterpret collections while creating meaningful opportunities for public engagement.

Hannah has been locating, digitising and sorting our digital archival materials and will be working with us until December this year.

Based in Sussex, Hannah works across socially engaged practice, photography and archival research. She holds an MA in Photography and has collaborated with organisations including Historic England, Photoworks and the National Institute for Health and Care Research. Alongside this, she has delivered workshops and talks at Creative Health Service conferences, bringing together creative practice, archive management, community participation and creative health.

VDT's Young Performers Collective is your chance to experience what it’s really like to create and perform a professional dance theatre production.

Led by Artistic Director Charlotte Vincent, you’ll work alongside experienced artists and VDT’s creative team to develop original work from the ground up.

You’ll build your dance and theatre skills, gain insight into a professional making process, develop your confidence and devise and perform a new work live in Brighton in 2027.

This is more than a weekly class – it’s an opportunity to grow as an artist, discover your personal strengths and take the next step towards a future in the creative industry.
