The Ice House has had an incredible first year as a Centre for Arts and Circus! In 2025 we opened the doors to this historic building and gave it new life. Here’s just a few of the best bits:
As part of FRESH Street #5, the Ice House hosted international delegates who got to see what Yarmouth has to offer at the newly renovated Grade II listed building. A phenomenal first outing!
The first ever show at the Ice House, SIKU by Solarte Producciones as part of the Out There Festival, featuring circus, ups and downs on a Chinese Pole and daring bicycle tricks.
The annual Great Yarmouth Beer and Circus Festival was bigger than ever this year! The three-day festival left countless happy memories, and more than a few headaches the next day. See you at the Beer and Circus Festival 2026!
We hosted the first few of many film screenings. “The Creature from Scroby Sands” by the Huh Premiere saw a sold-out first evening, with a glamourous red carpet and signature cocktail. In November we did the time warp again with Yarmouth & Waveney Pride at the Rocky Horror Picture Show screening!
This year we welcomed schools from across Norfolk to learn about the Ice House from within its walls. Working with 120 students from Cobholm Primary Academy and Southtown Primary School, we created a colourful and educational Ice House Picture Book: Lost Boots and Dreamy Ice House Adventures, in which the history of the Ice House from sea monsters to boots trapped in ice that travel the world was reimagined. Led by Feather, something truly unique was created. A big thank you to everyone involved!
The first ever wedding at the Ice House was very special; the lovely Chris & Emily tied the knot with a fantastic celebration with friends and family. We are taking bookings for wedding receptions in 2026, find out more and get in touch: https://outtherearts.org.uk/weddings/
Last but most certainly not least, GIGGY made its first Ice House splash!
Thank you to all who have visited in 2025, and here’s to an even better New Year!
