Morning all - on this Sunny 🌞 September morning that just happens to be my birthday as well.

So a very quick announcement -

I have taken the decision to leave The Start in December this year.

The past 2.5 years have been a blast and it’s been amazing to see the band grow and develop

But Henderson Perry Entertainment and in particular HPE Event Hire needs my full attention - so it’s purely business related.
But needs must and some thing had to give.

I’m still drumming with Supercharged band and I will be available for Dep’s etc

Thank you all and I look forward to seeing you at a gig real soon

I had an absolute blast today - 18 hour day but worth it

Firstly a gig with HPE Event Hire providing generator / sound and host duties with Adam De Cruz for the Metropolitan Police Service community day at Harold Hill.

Further thanks to PC Amy Barker for booking us- Justin Vella for doing a cracking set as The Cockney Cowboy

Ricknroll Mascots for entertaining the kids.

Then after that had finished - go and unload van - load drums up - then onto a dep gig with Ta***ic Zoo - what a great band . Super tight - great sound - loads of fun -

And finally huge thanks to Nicki Bourne for always being there or not.

In a very happy bunny 🐰 today.

New pedal day ( all of us drummers love a new pedal day don’t we? )

Anyway I had a single pedal version - but I really miss a bit of the double bass drums .

So i finally bit the bullet and stepped up for the bad boy.

I have to say i have had new DW5000s and 9000s but these really are next level and I wish i had the talent to really show what they can do. But for now it’s just some trash can endings.

Anyway main reason for this post - so I have been using Chris Johnson of Highwood Music for a couple of years since the sad demise of Drums Inc / sound attack and everything has been great.

So anyway I decided a week or so ago to go for it. Shopped around on price abit and foolishly purchased from a company based in Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 that’s sounds a bit like Amazon instead of speaking his Northeness.

Anyway, I bought the pedal awaited the delay and I was stoked when it arrived Tuesday - but my joy was short lived when they sent me the wrong pedal a single .

So I messaged them and the lovely lady got back to me apologising, however in this time I had told Northern Monkey ( 🐵) and bought the pedal from him.

So collection was arranged for Thursday - so after a quick message back to say can you make it Friday instead ( I never heard back from them at this point. I arranged for Grumps in the middle of moving to wait around at our place for the said pedal to be collected.

When I messaged again yesterday I was told but I had requested Friday pick up - which they never confirmed -

Today comes along and now no collection due to circumstances beyond their control collection can’t be made today.

So moral of this story. There is a reason that some places are cheaper - they are pants. Stay with what you know - speak with sales rep and see if they can price match - which NM ( 🐵) did and voila guess what - the correct pedal arrived. When he said it would and I can’t be any happier.

Clare Maria Henderson the guvnor now has to listen to me watching snooker with my feet going up and down to the tune of ace of spades in my head.

( the pedal is super quiet ) 🤫

Look forward to using this with The Start tomorrow evening at Wickford Community Centre it’s going to be a blast !!!!!!

Good morning all - so as many of you are aware. New Year’s Eve was due to be my last gig with The Heaters. However, due to Toby coming down with Covid. We have had no option but to switch bands.

It has been 29years in The Heaters for me . Been an absolute blast to play with some amazing musicians and singers over the time.

Met some incredible people - played some bonkers gigs - but alas with the success of HPE and The Start - something had to give.

This has also allowed me to do the odd dep gig which is great fun as well.

The Heaters are carrying on with a new line up - so please keep following them and show them the love.

My old seat is in very safe hands with Sally and I can’t wait to have a night off and get along to see my old band.
