🍋🍋 Marvellous Mediterranean plate designs at Oak Lodge in Bradford this week 🍋🍋

The bold blue and yellow tones really bring these to life! With pretty painterly brushwork, the residents gave their all in this session and I love the unique style of each piece.
We also had one watercolour interpretation as this is a preferred medium for this artist. 😊

They look so lovely on display as a group for everyone to enjoy. Well done and thank you to all involved 💙💛

🍋🔵 Luscious lemon themed painted plate designs at Adel Grange Residential Care Home in Leeds this week! 🔵🍋

Participants chose from a selection of different Mediterranean style ceramic plates and used a limited palette of yellow and blue (with a touch of green).

Today was my first session using this theme and it was wonderful to see the variety of creations made! Fabulous efforts all round.

They look great all on display in the entrance …and I want to thank the visitors who supported their friend/relative while she joined in. Encouragement is often key so I really appreciated that ❤️

🔺🟡🟪 Fantastic creations at Anchor - Oak Tree Lodge this morning using foam stamps! 🟧🔵🔺

We had a lovely time using watercolours with a range of shapes in this session.

Participants were given a demonstration of how to use them with the paints and shown a few examples of what could be made - but it’s so wonderful to see what individual styles emerge after being given free reign to do what they want to ❤️

It was great to see some new faces join us too, well done everyone !

🌼 🌸 We had a brilliant & busy morning last week at Adel Grange Residential Care Home in Leeds 🌺🌻

A mix of beautiful summer meadows and bold abstract art in this session, using both soft and oil pastel, everyone got to work on their own individual pieces.
Everyone was very focused, adding lots of layers and detail and it was great to see new participants join in too.

I love to see how proud residents are at the end - particularly when they have taken more than one session to finish an artwork!

👁️ Brilliantly busy morning at Anchor - Sandholme Fold this week creating oil pastel artwork 🌵

The theme was the wonderful designs of Iryna Konakova, who makes handmade rugs from recycled clothing. So much concentration for these, it was great to see everyone get to work. One lady opted for a cacti image instead and really made it her own.

I loved hearing other residents commenting on the results, saying how impressed they were - well done to everyone involved! ❤️

👁️ Intricate abstract art inspired by the beautiful handmade rugs of Iryna Konakova at Westfield Manor in Bradford this week ! 👁️

I am in awe at how everyone threw themselves into this session! These are complicated images but that didn’t stop anyone - with oil pastel, residents used the colours and shapes to form their own artwork.
It was such a joy watching these come together (and one is to be finished next time) and to hear the group commenting on each others art.

Fantastic efforts from all involved ❤️
