Obsidian D&D

Obsidian D&D Like all good adventures, our journey began in a pub… fighting the occasional beer monster.

These days, however, we are busy building a vibrant and inclusive community of tabletop adventurers by organising events and venues for TTRPG gaming in Dorset.

🖤 **A Little Update from the Obsidian Team!** 🎲

First off, a massive thank you for bearing with us! 🖤

Unfortunately, the dreaded lurgy that's going around has made its way through the Obsidian team! 🤧

This means replies might be a little slower than usual, and our socials may seem a bit quieter, but don't worry, we're still busy working away behind the scenes!

⚔️ Getting everything ready for Warfare 2026 in November!

🎲 Keeping our wonderful weekly games running!

🐉 Working on expanding Obsidian Juniors and bringing even more young adventurers to the table!

✨ Plus plenty of exciting things bubbling away in the background that we can't wait to share with you!

There's a lot of illness going around at the moment, so please look after yourselves. Rest up, stay hydrated, and don't feel guilty about taking some time to recover. Even adventurers need a long rest sometimes! ❤️

Thank you all for your continued patience, kindness and support. We really do appreciate our wonderful community.

🪨 There's something ridiculously satisfying about watching terrain come to life! 😍

Our first Ooser Events game pack is officially taking shape, and just LOOK at this Stonehenge terrain! 👀

But what makes this even more special is that it's being 3D printed by James, one of our very own Obsidian D&D community members! 🖤

Having people from the community getting involved and helping us build something like this genuinely means the world.

From an idea on paper to actual terrain on a table — it's all starting to feel very real now.

A massive thank you to James for helping bring our Celtic-inspired adventures to life!

🎲 Your character has officially entered the workforce.
The adventuring life isn’t paying the bills anymore, so they need a normal, boring 9–5 job.
What job are they getting, and more importantly, how long before they’re fired? 😂
Tell us what your current character is doing for a living. 👇🖤

📣 A LITTLE COMMUNITY REMINDER
We LOVE seeing friendships form through Obsidian and people getting together outside our sessions to play more D&D. That’s exactly what community is about! 🖤🎲
The only thing we ask is that you don’t arrange games at our partner venues outside of our scheduled sessions without checking with us first.
Please don’t turn up expecting a table, or assume a venue will be open, without confirming beforehand. Our venues have their own opening hours, bookings and events to manage too.
Want to organise an extra game at one of our venues? Just drop us a message first and we’ll see what we can arrange! 💜

🧩 THURSDAY PUZZLE
Your party has been travelling for hours when you come across an old man sitting peacefully on the porch of a crooked cottage.
You ask him which road will take you to the nearest village.
He smiles.
Unfortunately, he only speaks in haiku.
Follow where birds flee
Two roads meet beneath dead wood
Walk into sunrise

He offers absolutely no further explanation. 😂
Which direction is the old man telling you to go?
Drop your answer below. 👀🎲

🎶🖤 A LITTLE COMMUNITY CELEBRATION!
One of our long-standing DMs, Archie Ray, has just launched the Kickstarter for his first album, Timelapse 2! 🎉
Archie has been part of the Obsidian community for a long time, so we wanted to give his project a little shout-out and celebrate something pretty damn exciting happening outside the D&D table too.
If you fancy checking out what he’s been creating or supporting his Kickstarter, you can find it in the comments!
Congratulations Archie! 🎶🎲🖤
