Upcycling vintage cutlery, maps & memories into handmade keepsakes 😍
www.ohsosuzi.uk A perfect gift for any occasion.

I love to recycle and repurpose many materials but especially original maps to create unique personalised gifts depicting your favourite or memorable locations. I've also a passion for hand stamping metal especially silver plated vintage cutlery with phrases or your personalised message. Personalisation, customisation and commissions are very welcome.

Not your average piece of cutlery… 🕷️

A few vintage forks, a little imagination and suddenly there’s a BIG spider hanging around! 😆

♻️ Preloved. Repurposed. Definitely a statement.

Would you wear her? 🕷️🖤

Vintage lobster pick ➡️ one very decorative, totally unique bangle… just like that-ish! 🤣🦞

And, as a veggie, I’m very happy to confirm that no lobsters were harmed in the making of this piece 😂♻️

From forgotten cutlery to something completely different — exactly how I like it 💚

“Do you have an online shop?”

I get asked this quite a lot.

I do have a website, but at the moment it’s more of a window into what I make rather than somewhere you can click, add to basket and buy.

Would an online shop be easier? Probably. And maybe it’s something I should consider.

But there’s something I really love about selling face-to-face ♻️🥄

I get to meet people, chat about the cutlery I’ve used and hear their stories. “My mum had that set!”… “I’ve got a whole canteen of those in a drawer!”… or occasionally, “We still use ours!”

Old cutlery seems to unlock memories, and I love that.

Of course, fairs have another side too. There’s the stall fee, choosing the right events (not always successfully!), packing everything up, loading the car, unloading it again, setting up… then doing the whole thing in reverse after what can be a very long day.

And there’s another problem with only selling at events. If you spot something you love but decide to think about it, it might not be there next time. My stock is constantly changing as pieces sell and new finds are transformed.

So perhaps there’s room for both?

The personal, chatty, slightly exhausting world of fairs and an online shop for those who can’t get to see me — or who went home wishing they’d bought that ring, bangle or other one-of-a-kind piece they spotted on my stall.

What do you think? Would you buy an Oh So Suzi piece online, or is seeing, touching and trying things on part of the experience for you? ♻️

A little piece of 1986 history ☄️

This spoon was made to commemorate Halley’s Comet and its journey through our skies that year. It passed closest to the Sun on 9 February, before making its closest approach to Earth on 10 April — around 38.5 million miles away 🌏

40 years later, this little souvenir has survived to tell the story… and is now ready for a new chapter ♻️🥄✨

A little piece of 1986 history ☄️

This spoon was made to commemorate Bailey’s Comet and its journey through our skies that year. It passed closest to the Sun on 9 February, before making its closest approach to Earth on 10 April — around 38.5 million miles from Earth 🌏
