That's the flattening jig built back up ready for some flattening to be done

Jig made with galvanised tubing from The Metal Store as the base
Aluminium extrusion for the jig and Tot Tools, LLC router sled running a Makita router and surfacing bit from Titman Tools

Test piece of English walnut came out brilliant, one pass taking off 3mm

Usually the jig is built up so it can handle 3.5m by 1.4 m
I've built it up without the extension rails to cope with 2.5m by 1.4m for my next dining table project.

Next project started last month with selected walnut slabs for a smokey black resin river dining table, with walnut slab style legs

Slabs have been selected, cut down, debarked and nearly all the soft/rotten timber removed. Next up is to roughly flatten both sides on my own made router sled.

Now to fully commit now all the smaller projects are out of the way.

Customer wanted a bespoke black floating shelf for their tea coffee sugar jars

Made from a piece of yew I had laying around for a while

Cut, planed to dimensions
Pockets cut for the hidden brackets using the shaper origin
Sanded to 1000g
Should sugi ban technique to blacken, then finished with Odie's Oil and odies captain Cornelius black pigment
Buffed

Really happy how it turned out, really wanted to be able to still see the yew grain coming through, to give it some character and not to look like a painted MDF piece. Thanks guys for the opportunity

Customer sent a great picture of his bespoke custom made pendulum board set up on his alter.

This board was designed using his own sigil and was transferred into an SVG file then transported in Shaper Origin studio, which then worked out the cut paths.

The cuts were made using a 1.4mm down cut compression bit to a 5mm depth

Glasscast 10 resin from was used with metallic gold and opaque jet black pigments from

Sanded up to 4000g using abranet and finished with Odie's Oil dark oil to protect it.

Finally brass feet were fitted

Something a little bit different

Pendulum board in English walnut with black and gold resin inlays

First job using my shaper origin, really pleased with the result

Finished with odies oil
