✨ The Magic of Handmade Gifts ✨

Hey Everyone!

First impressions are everything when you are turning up to a new venue, and walking through the doors with something custom sets the tone right away. It lets people see your style before you even say a word.

That is why I am obsessed with these flower bouquets. They are just so versatile, and I honestly find myself making them for everything! Just this week, we had new neighbours move in next door, so I popped over with one as a welcome gift. Then, when I wanted to say a proper thank you to my child’s new school teachers for settling him in so brilliantly, another bouquet felt like the absolute best way to show our appreciation.

In a world where you can easily just grab any old thing off a shelf without much thought, a handmade gift goes such a long way. It just carries so much more heart.

Level 8 Unlocked: Zelda Style! 🗡️

How wild is it looking back at their birthday stacks and realising just how much they change every single year? If you know, you know! Watching them grow up right alongside their changing party themes just gets me every time. 🥹

This one was extra fun to put together for Finlay turning eight with an awesome Legend of Zelda theme! The best part? The only real brief was keeping it compact because space at home is pretty tight. That is exactly why my single column twisted stacks are a total game changer. You still get all those amazing custom twisted details and character magic without it taking over the whole living room.

🎈 UNHINGED EDITION 🎈

Let us be real for a second: live balloon twisting is high energy and high pressure, and as a solo business owner, I am out there running the whole show by myself.

Before I did this full time, I was a primary school teacher and being creative and making children smile is quite literally why I loved my job. My passion for creativity has not gone anywhere and I genuinely try my absolute best to bring that joy to every single event.

But event days can really test your patience. When my queue is closed, it is closed. I cannot magic up extra hours or work past my agreed times just because someone wants to complain or have a tantrum over missing out. I am a professional running a business, not a bottomless well, and I have to protect my time and my energy.

I am always going to work as fast and as hard as I can for the people who are kind, patient and respectful. But if you are going to direct your frustrations at me because the timing did not work out, please save it.

To the ones who show up with a smile, wait your turn, ask me about my job, show an interest in what I do and treat me like a human being, you make the chaos COMPLETELY worth it. Everyone else? Let us all just remember a little basic manners go a long way. 🤍✨

Like this... but make it custom and actually fit in the car boot! 🎈✨

When I originally made this photo frame for my eldest son’s nursery graduation, it was a big static setup for all the parents to enjoy. But a lovely client saw it and wanted the exact same look in a totally different colour palette, with one very important rule: it had to fit straight in the car boot! 🚗💨

🌸🌺 Candy Pink & Cosmo Pink 🌺🌸

I couldn’t resist sharing this one again.

It was so lovely seeing this cherry blossom tree out in the sunshine, really showcasing its true colours for the Sempertex launch. It was actually quite a windy day, so slow motion became my best friend and brought the whole vision to life.

It captured exactly what I’d been picturing in my head: a gentle breeze slowly blowing the petals right off the tree.

If you haven’t seen the new pink colours from Sempertex yet, you need them as part of your pack right away. Candy Pink and Cosmo Pink are absolute perfection!

It is still hard to believe that this is my life now…

Building a dream from scratch, especially while navigating life with two little ones, has been a beautiful, wild and sometimes chaotic journey. There have been plenty of moments where I questioned everything…

But then I see my boys watching their Mummy work, I step back and watch a client’s face completely light up or I get to bring a quiet room to life with pure magic just before the party starts. Creating art every day, setting my own rules and playing a small part in building core memories for local families makes every single hurdle worth it.

It turns out that taking a chance on a dream, even with two tiny shadows following me everywhere, was the best decision I could have made.

THE NEXT CHAPTER BEGINS 📕

I had an early start at Ditcham Park School this morning setting up for GCSE Results Day! 🎈

After making the easel for the Ditcham Festival, the school reached out earlier this summer asking if I’d come back to create a little setup for the students collecting their results. They wanted something subtle rather than over-the-top, just enough to make the arrival feel extra special.

Setting it up in the quiet before anyone arrived brought back so many memories of collecting my own results... all those years ago now! 🙈 That mix of nervous energy and anticipation is something you never really forget. Knowing the school goes out of its way to add these thoughtful touches to celebrate and honour their students is just lovely to see.

I hope walking up to this helped ease a few of those pre-envelope nerves today! A huge congratulations to all the students collecting their results…you should be so proud of yourselves! 🎉🙌

Their Biggest Adventure Yet…🍎✏️📚

I don’t think anything quite prepares your heart for the moment you see your baby standing in a school uniform for the very first time. 🥺😭

They say it takes a village, but Emma Hawes and Danica Smith aren’t just my village, they are my second family. From those bleary eyed early days at baby group when we were all just trying to navigate motherhood together, right through to this special moment, they have been my absolute rocks.

Our little ones have grown up side by side. They aren’t just friends; they are honorary cousins. So today, as we gathered to celebrate them before September arrives, I knew I had to build something special to mark the moment.

But looking through the camera lens today and seeing them all lined up in their tiny uniforms... it suddenly hit us. Where on earth did the years go? How did those babies we cradled only yesterday turn into these confident little people ready to take on the world?

In just a few short weeks, they’ll be walking through different school gates, embarking on their biggest adventure yet. It is so deeply bittersweet. But while their paths might split during the day, my heart is so full knowing that our village isn’t going anywhere. We walked each other through babyhood, and we’ll be standing right there cheering each other on through every single chapter ahead. 🥹❤️
