Late to the party but some things are worth waiting for ☁️✈️

I felt incredibly honoured when Sempertex Europe | Official Sempertex Balloon Distributor gave me the opportunity to create something special to showcase their 3 brand new colours and I am so excited to finally share it with you!

I absolutely love working with Sempertex because the quality of their latex is always so incredible to work with. These new arrivals did not disappoint and as soon as I saw the palette the vision completely came to life.

* Almond White is the absolute perfect tone for creating those soft fluffy clouds.
* Creamy Blush is a gorgeous warm shade that gave the body of the aeroplane the most beautiful gentle feel.
* Urban Grey is a stunning sophisticated slate that added the perfect modern contrast to the wings and tail.

It is such a privilege to be asked to work with these new releases and honestly seeing how beautifully they work together made every second of the wait worth it.

The biggest milestone yet for my business, my very first wedding! 🕊️✨

When two of our lovely friends asked me to create something special for their big day, I knew I just had to say yes. Our children go to nursery together, so being trusted with such a massive part of their milestone, and then getting to sit back as a guest with a tissue in hand to watch them say “I do”, was just incredibly special.

They wanted a dreamy, boho feel with touches of pampas grass, so we went with a palette of linen, latte and shiny prosecco gold to frame the gorgeous gazebo.

I’d never been to .angel.hotel before, but their outdoor setup is just so beautiful and private. Honestly, they couldn’t have had better weather for the ceremony either! ☀️

I won’t lie to you, the nerves were so real! When it’s an outdoor summer wedding, you aren’t just thinking about making it look pretty. You are constantly watching the breeze, checking how the sunshine is hitting the latex and just praying everything stays perfect and on time for the ceremony!

Every single balloon I used was from and, honestly, the quality was insane. When you’re under pressure on a wedding day, having that thick latex and the longer necks to tie with makes the world of difference and made this install so much easier to do.

I also have to give the biggest shoutout to the wonderful . I actually rang her 2 or 3 times on the day itself just to talk through the setup and get a bit of reassurance. The balloon community is so wonderfully supportive and I’m incredibly grateful to those who build one another up.

To the new Mr & Mrs, thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me be a part of your beautiful day. Here’s to a lifetime of love and happiness! 🥂🤍

🦄 A Magical 5th Birthday 🦄

You may remember back in April, to celebrate my first big year in business, I hosted a giveaway.

The lovely was our lucky winner, and when we first started messaging, she knew she wanted to turn this win into something really special for her little girl’s big day.

After looking through so many wonderful ideas, she was completely captivated by an amazing design originally created by Balloon Artist | Eloise (I can see why!).

But, for this very important birthday, there was one non-negotiable: purple. 💜 Her little one adores purple, so we happily tweaked the colour palette. This custom display is the result, and knowing a real-life unicorn was arriving for rides, it felt like the perfect touch of magic. It truly warms my heart to play even a small part in making these incredible memories.

Here’s to another year of creating joy, one installation at a time!

✨ MAKE A BALLOON BAG WITH ME… ✨

It takes a lot of quiet, behind-the-scenes moments to create the big, loud, joyful ones.

Sitting on the floor bundling these up might just look like standard stock prep, but to me, it’s the start of the next celebration. Every single one of these colours is eventually going to turn into a smile, a surprise, or a core memory for a child celebrating a birthday.

I used to spend so much time running around looking for the right sizes, but with a busy season of events ahead, I really needed a system that kept up with the pace. It turns out an Amazon cleaning caddy and some paper wrapping do the trick beautifully.

It looks like total chaos while I’m putting it together, but seeing the bag filled with this beautiful palette makes the prep completely worth it.

Just a little bit of quiet organisation so I’m ready to bring the magic whenever the next party call comes.

After School Surprise 💜

My lovely client ordered this premium balloon stack for her son Noah, who is completely obsessed with Kpop Demon Hunters. She told me he has even dyed his hair purple before just like Rumi, so you know I had to go all out with the perfect shades of violet and chrome!

She asked for it to be delivered during the school day, which is actually a first for me, but I absolutely love the idea. Instead of delivering the night before and having it ready for the morning, it allows the surprises and magic to continue throughout the day. Noah gets to come home after the busy school day, walk through the door, and just take it all in.

I had so much fun incorporating the details into this number five, from the custom iridescent lettering and scars to the metallic gold sword and Rumi’s plait weaving around this stack . You can see how the final piece turned out and it is the ultimate birthday welcome home!

Who says you need a massive setup to bring a big theme to life? 🌴✨

This is what I call a Twisted Single Stack, and it’s one of my absolute favourite designs to make. Instead of just popping a standard foil balloon on top, I love adding these bespoke, hand-twisted elements because they really tell a story.

It’s all about those tiny details that catch the eye…like the textured vines climbing up the tree, the little giraffe, and the cheeky snake peeking out from the bottom. It’s compact, but it still packs a massive punch! 🦒🐍

The best part? While this one was for a “Wild One” birthday, I can adapt this exact layout to absolutely any theme your little one is obsessed with right now…whether that’s princesses, superheroes or dinosaurs. It’s a brilliant, budget-friendly option if you want that extra special, handcrafted magic without breaking the bank (or taking over your entire living room!).

It’s never just balloons and backdrops. 🤍

I got to stay for little Mila’s first birthday party yesterday, not just as the stylist behind the backdrop, but as family too… and honestly, it made everything feel even more special.

Watching everyone gather around the display to sing happy birthday, take photos, cuddle babies, squeeze grandparents in for pictures and capture those little moments that pass by far too quickly… it really hit me how important these memories are.

One day these photos will be looked back on by Mila herself. They’ll be saved in albums, framed on walls, revisited on hard days and happy days alike. And knowing this backdrop became the setting for all of those moments feels so lovely to me.

And at the end, seeing mum and dad standing there holding their little girl for their photos together… you could just feel how loved she is 🥹✨

It’s the memories attached to them that mean everything 🤍

Honestly, can we just talk about how emotional that first birthday milestone is? 🥺

I finished setting this up for beautiful Mila’s ‘fairy first birthday’ today, and I swear it through me back 3 years to when my eldest had his first birthday.

Your baby turning one is huge. And let’s be real…it’s not just a milestone for the little one, it’s a massive milestone for us mums too. You’ve survived the sleep deprivation, the endless worry, the transitions and that first proper year of learning on the job. It’s a total rollercoaster, so celebrating it feels so incredibly special.

Mila’s mum wanted a total fairy garden dream (she decorated the rest of the venue so beautifully and you could tell she had a clear vision of how she wanted it to turn out) so being trusted to do the balloons felt huge. I am so obsessed with how it turned out. I wanted it to feel like you’d literally stepped out of a cottage garden into something magical. I used the gorgeous cutouts, tucked in some lovely faux flowers and added the most stunning iridescent butterflies that just caught the light beautifully.

Seeing it all set up against that rustic brickwork just felt so soft and pretty. It’s such a privilege when another mum trusts you to bring their vision to life for such a big day.

When you complete lose yourself in the details…

As a boy mum, my daily life is usually a whirlwind of mud, trucks, and superheroes. So when I get a request that lets me dive headfirst into pure pastel magic, I honestly can’t wait to get started. 🎀✨

This was a special one for Erica’s 5th birthday. Her mum told me she just loves anything “girly,” so I got to lose myself in twisting rainbows, tiny flowers and a little fairytale princess.

I think as mums, we all know how fast these first few years fly by. Five feels like such a milestone…they aren’t toddlers anymore, they have these massive little personalities, and they still look at the world with so much total wonder. Sitting on my floor putting this together, I just kept thinking about how lovely it is to play a tiny part in making those childhood memories magical.
