🚂 Sunday Morning Tracks: Middleton, We Are Ready For You! 🏁🚩

The big red van is packed to the roof, the coffee is brewing, and the tracks are sorted! This morning—Sunday, 28th June—the Fun with Trains crew is taking over Alkrington Community Centre in Middleton for a massive morning of railway building. 🏰✨

If you are looking for a brilliant weekend activity that gets the children out of the house and fully immersed in hands-on creativity, our traditional track play layout is the perfect plan. Your little engineers can look forward to exploring over 100 trains, racing down our famous train rollercoaster, or enjoying a lovely book in our new Reading Corner. It is a wonderful, stress-free Sunday morning where the children can spark their big imaginations while the grown-ups sit back with a fresh hot brew and a friendly chat. Best of all, when the play session finishes, you simply head home for lunch and leave the entire 500-foot cleanup to us! 🧹🙌☕

We have three dedicated sessions running today, including our small-group quiet slot. If you haven't booked yet, don't worry—we have room for turn-ups on the door with card machines ready!

🚂 The Big Railway Double-Header: Atherton & Middleton, We're on the Horizon! 🏁🚩

As we steer into June, the big red van is being loaded up for one of our absolute favourite weekends of the month! We are preparing to bring 500 feet of winding track layout and a massive fleet of engines to two brilliant Northwest communities back-to-back. If you are looking to get the family out of the house for a morning of proper, traditional creativity, our weekend railway takeovers are the perfect plan.

On Saturday, 27th June, our crew will be setting up the tracks inside the beautiful Chowbent Unitarian Chapel in Atherton. Then, on Sunday, 28th June, the team rolls right along to Alkrington Community Centre in Middleton to do it all over again! Both locations will feature our giant loops, over 100 trains to explore, our famous train rollercoaster for the high-speed thrill-seekers, and our cosy Reading Corner for a quiet story-time break. Grown-ups can look forward to a relaxed atmosphere and a hot brew, while the little engineers burn off that weekend energy. Best of all, when the final whistle blows, we handle 100% of the cleanup so you can head home completely mess-free!

We have tailored our timetables at both stations to make sure there is a slot that fits perfectly around your weekend plans, including our dedicated quiet session.

It is a wonderful opportunity for your little engineers to step away from the screens and burn off some energy in a relaxed, friendly environment. For the grown-ups, the coffee will be brewing and the atmosphere will be completely stress-free—especially since we handle every single piece of the cleanup when the final whistle blows! 🙌☕🧹

🚂 A Massive Thank You, Preston! ❤️🏁

What a wonderful day we had at Cottam Community Centre yesterday! We have finished packing away the final loops of our 500ft railway empire, and we want to say a huge thank you to every family who came down to join the crew for our May Half-Term Special. 🏰✨

Even though the platform was a little quieter than usual this time around, it turned out to be an absolute blessing for the children who attended. Our little engineers had unprecedented space on the mats to build some of the biggest, most creative track networks we have seen all year! From high-speed races on the train rollercoaster to cozy moments shared in our new Reading Corner, the atmosphere was beautifully relaxed and full of smiles. It was the perfect reminder of why we love bringing these hands-on, traditional play experiences to our local communities.

We are already looking at our summer schedule to see when we can steam back into Preston. In the meantime, if you have any brilliant photos of your little engineers in action from yesterday's sessions, please share them in the comments below—we would absolutely love to see what they built! 👇
