Bigfooter Rebecca had a fantastic day delivering Go All In - our new literacy programme celebrating The National Year of Reading! Thanks so much for sharing North Tyneside Community Hubs and Libraries! We always love visiting you and it’s a pleasure to support the fantastic work you deliver with schools and community groups! 📕📚📖

🤗We had a great time yesterday at North Shields Library with Rebecca from Bigfoot Arts Education North as part of our World Book Day (UK & Ireland) follow up event, "Go All in".

👨🏽‍🔬Children met Professor Page-Turner and his invention, the Read-O-Tron 3000 — but disaster struck when it jammed! Powered by reading, the children helped bring it back to life and keep communication, wellbeing and empathy flowing.

One of our favourite parts of the session was creating actions and noises to represent different book genres, this had us in fits of laughter, especially Romance❤️ and Sci-Fi👽

Happy Africa Day 🌍

We are so proud of our incredibly colourful Africa Reborn story telling programme. Brother Papi has had a wonderful week bringing his stories into primary schools across the North with music, drama and lots of interaction and laughter.

We are looking forward to continuing our tour after half term. Get in touch if you’d like to be part of the celebrations 🪘

Lovely photos from our Africa Reborn visit! 🪘🦒 🌍 🧡 The incredible Papi brought talking drums, three powerful stories and so much joy to from EYFS right through to KS2. Greetings in four African languages, call and response songs, soundscapes, tableaux and a celebration dance to finish. Every child an active storyteller 💛

Thank you to Bowker Vale Primary School in Manchester for their outstanding feedback on our recent visit with 'Powerful Choices'.

Our 'Powerful Choices' programme offers are safe, thoughtful and age appropriate way to explore these serious issues with Year 5 and Year 6 pupils.
