Bodmin Public Rooms

Bodmin Public Rooms The Public Rooms were closed in 2013. This page is run by the Public Rooms Trust who are trying to buy the building and turn it into a modern arts centre.

Built by the people of Bodmin for the people of Bodmin in 1892. If we are successful in securing the building from the town council, the refurbished Public Rooms will be a state-of-the-art centre for entertainment, learning and sharing. With a 300 seat auditorium for music, theatre and film, accessible cafe and bar and smaller spaces for community groups, this building will not only serve the loca

l population but will draw audiences from across the region. Sitting geographically at the heart of Cornwall, Bodmin is perfectly suited to serve the wider region. Sitting at the heart of the town, The Public Rooms are perfectly suited to serve Bodmin. The County is lacking a venue of this caliber and scale and we are confident that the provision of such a space will fill a much needed gap in cultural provision in the South West.
