ROBBIE DALE ON THE WALL - CINEMA PREMIERE 🎥
A lovely evening at the Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle last night. 'Robbie Dale on the Wall' was a really enjoyable support feature to the main screening., the Football Monologues. Alex Ayre has produced another class little movie, an 8 minute piece which really captures the thoughts of people around BSAFC and the Blyth community about Robbie and his time at Blyth Spartans.
We await news of possible further screenings and its release 😉
'ROBBIE DALE, ON THE WALL !!' 😀
Just a reminder of our great footballing double bill at the Tyneside cinema this Tuesday 12th at 6pm. The main feature film, 'Football Monologues' will be preceded by the WORLD PREMIERE of our short film 'Robbie Dale on the Wall' by Tyneside Cinema’s in-house filmmaker Alex Ayre....
"In 2021, the wall of a chip shop in Northumberland was transformed forever in tribute to a local legend. This short documentary chronicles the painting of a mural for Blyth Spartans footballer Robbie Dale – the first of its kind to ever be produced for a non-league player. Through contributions from the local community and his footballing peers, we explore public adoration towards Robbie and his skills, which are unparalleled in grassroots football. "
It should be a great evening, so if you are in the Toon why not come along ? Book your tickets below 😎⚽️

A message from our film maker, Alex Ayre 😎....
"...Hi guys! You might remember last year I filmed the wonderful Robbie Dale mural being painted on the side of Gino's, and interviewed many of you about the mural and Robbie's contribution to the club.
It gives me great pleasure to announce that the resulting short film, Robbie Dale on the Wall, will have its WORLD PREMIERE at Tyneside Cinema on the evening of Tuesday 12th July. The film will play prior to a screening of The Football Monologues, a new independent feature film by director Greg Cruttwell - who will be at the event for a Q&A. Information about the event, including a synopsis of our film and ticket bookings, can be found below.
Needless to say, it would be amazing to see as many Spartans supporters there as possible. It's fantastic of the cinema to agree to screen the film, and it'll be fabulous to see Robbie, the mural, and many members of the Blyth community up on the big screen!
It'll even be playing in The Roxy screen at Tyneside, which has green seats…💚 🤍 💚🤍"

ROBBIE'S BACK ⚽️😃🇳🇬 !!!️
Hey, it's a lovely sunny day to pop along and enjoy the celebrations at Blyth Spartans v Middlesbrough U23's, Croft Park, 3pm 😊
The final strokes of paint have dried on the surface of the Robbie Dale mural.
As well as being a tribute to Robbie, it seems that the mural is becoming a bit of a tourist attraction in Blyth for folk looking to take selfies and photos for instagram etc. 🤔😎😀. There's been a steady flow of people stopping by to take snaps. A couple of new visitors while we were there, asking about Blyth Spartans and saying they will pop along to a game next season. So hopefully this is all good for the Club and the town of Blyth. If you've had your photo taken by the mural why not send it to us or post it in the comments below ? Cheers 😉📸 !

Swapped red and white for green and white for this latest mural! Featuring Blyth Spartans legend Robbie Dale. This is probably the first large scale mural for a player from a non-league club. Many thanks to Simon Needham who organised this mural and to the many Spartan fans who contributed to the crowd funding. Also thank you to Kris Hodgetts who took the original photo of Robbie that this is based on. Also thanks to the landlord Shad Saleem, Peter Henderson and everyone at the club who made me feel very welcome. One last thanks to Alex Ayre who has filmed the painting of the mural for a micro documentary on Robbie Dale,I’ll share this when it comes out.
Had a blast painting this mural, my last mural for a little while as I’m taking paternity leave, it’s just 8 days to go until our latest edition to the Styles family!
Almost there now !! 😉😊 A few finishing touches from Frank Styles before the end of the week. Looking superb, mind.....
The mural is really looking good day by day now. Frank is putting in the hours, in between all of these rain storms. Not ideal conditions at all, but it is getting there ! Many thanks to Spartans fan Fred Wyres for the latest photos 😉⚽️🇳🇬 ️https://www.gofundme.com/f/robbie-dale-mural-tribute
