My non-negotiables as a tattoo artist who only works 3 days a week, aswell as being a mother of 2🤍
-Starting with the obvious, DEPOSITS, I will always take a deposit, the deposit covers the day rate where I’m working, so if you don’t show, I may miss out, but I’m not forking out of my own pocket 🤍
- if I don’t have space, I don’t have space, I can’t work extra days, my eldest son is Autistic and needs extra care, and my youngest is still in nursery, and does 2 days a week, I trust very little amount of people with my children, and if they’re busy, I won’t be asking anyone else 🤍
-I get booked up fast! My schedule is complicated but also simple! Thursdays I work 10am- 2:30pm, so Thursdays are for half day sessions or smaller designs
Fridays, one week I work 10am until 2:30pm, and the week after I will work 10am- 7:30pm ish
Sundays I work 11am-5pm, anyone who knows me knows I do my best to fit people in every chance I can but to make sure the quality of work is upto my standards, I won’t rush to squeeze people in🤍
Please don’t ask me to do evenings, working from 10am back to back it gets exhausting and my brain needs a break, please also don’t ask about other days as I will be with my children
-DESIGNS, if we are doing a custom design, please don’t expect to get the design within a day or 2 (depending on how complex ofcourse) if you are coming to me for a tattoo then you need to trust that I WILL get your design to you, within enough time to go through the design, make tweaks, and have it perfected in time for your appointment,
Being a SEN mum I don’t get ‘free time’ every night, it’s a hit or miss, but i will have designs ready and perfected by the appointment date
-if you choose to change your design, please let me know before the day of appointment to make sure I have the correct time slot as a lot of the time I won’t be able to just ‘go over slightly’
So whilest tattooing is my main priority after my children ofcourse, I also have a home which I’m decorating, children I’m teaching and entertaining, a house to clean, a social life to maintain and also got some other exciting things in the works, so although I’m only physically tattooing 3 days a week, I’m a lot busier than that 🤍
This is how I protect my time, energy and also keep quality of work at a high standard🩵
I love tattooing and right now it’s not only a job but it’s something I look forward to most days, and I’d love to keep it that way, a job is a job and can easily start to feel overwhelming, so these are some ways I manage to keep it as something I enjoy 🩵
