Hello everyone,
I just wanted to address something that has recently come to my attention, as there seems to be a bit of confusion among some local makers and small businesses.
I understand that some people are under the impression that I have sent out emails to local businesses setting out terms and conditions for having a space in my shop on a concession basis. To clarify, this is not the case.
I understand where some of the confusion may have come from, as emails have recently been circulated locally from another shop in regard to applying for concession space. However, these emails were not sent by me, nor were they related to my business or any changes in my concession rates or terms.
I know this has caused some uncertainty for a couple of the wonderful businesses I already stock, particularly around whether my concession rate has changed. Please be assured that this is not the case.
My approach has always been to work closely with the makers and businesses I stock. Whenever possible, I like to have proper conversations and get to know the people behind the products. Understanding your business, your story, and your work helps me showcase and sell your products in the best possible way, and I believe that's only fair to the businesses that place their trust in me. I feel very passionately about handmade and my small involvement in the introduction of the monthly artisan markets up at The Last Drop has been a wonderful conclusion to my 1st year up there. Seeing all the local traders selling their wares on Sunday filled my heart up a little bit ❤️
I hadn't really wanted to address this publicly, but as it's caused some confusion, I felt it was important to clear things up and reassure both my current and potential concession partners.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. It means a lot.
