Bishop Auckland Family Festival is here! ☀️🎪

Join us today at Jane Armstrong Park from 11am–4pm for a brilliant day of live entertainment, circus fun, carnival games, family activities, food, music and so much more! 🥳

⚠️ IMPORTANT REMINDER: BBQs, disposable BBQs, fire pits and any other naked flames are NOT permitted at the festival. 🚫🔥 Please leave them at home.

Bring your picnic blanket or camping chairs, grab some food from our vendors and enjoy the day! ❤️

Get ready for a brilliant day of live shows, roaming entertainment, circus fun, carnival games and activities for the whole family.

There’ll be food available onsite, along with a bar serving cold beers, cocktails and soft drinks. Bring a picnic blanket or camping chairs, find your spot and enjoy the day! ☀️

🐾 Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads

You’ll be able to see the birds throughout the day before they take to the skies for two live flying shows out in the open.

RIGHT THEN… take a look at everything coming to Bishop Auckland Family Festival 2026! 👀🎪

On Saturday 15 August, Jane Armstrong Park will be packed with five hours of live entertainment, circus fun, huge inflatables, carnival games, rides and plenty more for the whole family.

Even better, entry is completely free and around 95% of the activities are free too!

Bumbulum has entertained audiences around the world with his unique mix of physical comedy, original gags, slapstick, daring feats and hilarious improvisation.

Balloon modelling is coming to Bishop Auckland Family Festival, with children able to choose a balloon creation and take it home with them.

From animals and flowers to hats and swords, there will be plenty of colourful creations taking shape throughout the day.
