Nique Dance was founded by Tara-Lea.J and Nathan Marsh in 2015. Nique Dance workshops bring teachers that are masters of their craft from all over the UK and occasionally worldwide to the city of Birmingham. Focused mainly on foundations in street dance styles but also offering choreography classes too, Nique Dance’s aim is to provide legitimate, affordable training for the community. ‘Nique’ was birthed from the word ‘technique’, acknowledging the importance of learning correct technique and foundations in dance.
Having held almost 100 events, each valuable to the growth and nurture of the dance scene in Birmingham and the West Midlands, Nique Dance has and will continue to show their commitment to dancers in the community.

Tara-Lea J holds a degree in Urban Dance Practice, coaches Street Dance Crews XLR8 & Majesty and Beats of Stageworks Academy and is also a member of Nathan Marsh's Marshons. She is Assistant Director of movement & choreography for Kidzootd. Her Main styles are Hip-Hop and Krump. Her Credits include Myself Dance UK (London 2012-2014) , Breakin Conventions 10th Anniversary (London 2013 , B.Supreme Women in Hip-Hop Tour (2013-2014) , BBC Doctors, BBC Comic Sport Relief , Stilt-Walker and Fire Entertainer, LESMILLS BodyJam Instructor, Dance Fitness Teacher at Mum-Dance.

Nathan Marsh is a dancer, teacher and choreographer, owner of Marshon Dance Company. Two-times finalist on Sky1’s Got To Dance with Antics Dance Crew. Member of The Richfam, having assisted Rob Rich on European tours and taught his own classes in UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Germany, Norway, Switzerland and more. His dance credits include: BBC, CBBC, ITV, Olympic Torch Relay, Breakin Convention and many more.

troy is a professional dancer that specialises in House dance and floor movement. He has graduated from a Russian ballet school and still continues to practice his ballet art. He has began to fuse his ballet/contemporary technique with his house dancing, giving him an unique style in the house dance scene today. He has also Judged, competed & taught in the Uk, USA, Europe, Africa & Asia. He is one of the leading forces for the younger generation in the house dance scene today. He also represents himself in the clubs, a dancer for defected records and He hosts his own house nights with his dj collectives called “ empire house family. “

🔥JORDAN J-FUNK🔥
Jordan ‘J-Funk’ Franklin aka AIM at 23 is in his 12th year of dance, A Middlesex University dance graduate, he has been a member of Boy Blue for over 10 years, performing in Pied Piper: A Hip Hop Dance Revolution, Legacy, A Night with Boy Blue and Unleashed at the Barbican among other venues as well as touring internationally with Boy Blue’s Blak, Whyte, Gray’. Jordan has taught in multiple countries including, Poland, Ireland, Austria, and more.

Jordan J-Funk’s other credits include: Little Mix, Ellie Goulding, Jess Glynne, Jax Jones, The Voice UK and The Queen's 92nd Birthday Show and many more. He is a choreographer for New Movementz Dance Company, who provide dancers under the age of 18 with performance opportunities by hosting battles and events.

Faye Revlon has been a part of the Ballroom Scene since 2016 and has since battled in balls across Europe picking up many Grand Prizes in her specialist category New Way Vogue, and also competing in Vogue Fem and Bizarre, earning her a place in the Unforgettable House of Revlon and Kiki House of Tea. She has judged competitions and taught workshops internationally including World of Dance, Spain and various balls in London.
Aside from Voguing Faye works as a contemporary dancer currently working with Rambert Dance Company working with choreographers including Benoit Swan Pouffer and Ohad Naharin. Before Rambert Faye was freelancing within contemporary and commercial working with choreographers including Richard Chappell, Lukas Mcfarlane with commercial credits including Vogue Italia, Adobe, Selfridges, and Toyota.

🔥KENRICK ‘H2O’ SANDY🔥
Kenrick ‘H2O’ Sandy MBE, Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director of Boy Blue, Associate Artist at the Barbican London, is undoubtedly one of the most renowned choreographers and performers in the UK urban, commercial and theatrical scenes.
Sandy’s credits are extensive having worked in TV, film and theatre, at home and abroad, alongside Boy Blue’s 2001 inception. As a choreographer he’s responsible for Outliers (2018), the Olivier nominated Blak Whyte Gray (2017), The Five & the Prophecy of Prana (2013), A Night With Boy Blue (2018, 2016, 2015, 2013) and Olivier award winning Pied Piper: A Hip-Hop Dance Revolution (2007). He also co-directed and choreographed Unleashed for the Barbican (2012). Off the main stage, Sandy collaborated with director Danny Boyle for the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony, winning the Evening Standard’s Beyond Theatre award. Sandy also worked on the Closing Winter Paralympic 2014 Ceremony and the 2007 Tour De France opening in Trafalgar Square, London. On screen work includes choreography on the BAFTA Awards, for All Stars and T2 Trainspotting, plus appearances on Street Dance 3D, the BBC’s So You Think You Can Dance and CBBC’s Alesha’s Street Dance Stars. In 2015 he judged the inaugural BBC Young Dancer Competition. As a performer himself, his repertoire includes Legacy Re:Loaded at the Jerwood Dance House and Jonzi D’s Lyrikal Fearta Redux at Sadler’s Wells.
No stranger to the music industry, Sandy, a former UK Street Dancing Champion, has performed with Victoria Beckham, Fergie (Black Eyed Peas), Leona Lewis and George Michael to name a few. Accomplished in all styles of street dance – break-dancing, popping and gymnastics – Sandy’s also created choreography for an array of artists including FKA twigs, Rita Ora, Plan B, Dizzee Rascal and Alexandra Burke. Brands have also called for Sandy’s Midas touch; work with Nike, adidas, Castrol and ASOS starring on his CV.
