"One of the earliest memories of storytelling was from my childhood. My mum singing lohri's and I would fall asleep. Then I did the same with my children. Something we passed on from generation to generation just like food recipes. This mango ras recipe and memory is one I want to share with my grandson"

Thanks to for delivering a nostalgic writing workshop at last week. The women learnt about free writing and skills to link memories to write down autobiographical stories that could be shared with loved ones and passed on to grandchildren. Last week our women recalled recipes that they had been given which they would like to share with a loved one.

We are truly thankful to all these wonderful local who have taken time out to share their craft with communities that have been marginally excluded from creativity and the arts.

Last week was incredible!

We collaborated with to bring a series of workshops to schools in where children have been exploring what makes them different. The children left the workshops feeling empowered and proud of their cultural heritage!

The feedback and experience has been heartwarming and inspirational.

The super talented team of facilitators have had just as much fun working with the children and looking forward to another week of workshops.

The wait is over!

Introducing our offer to the world of South Asian Children's Theatre....Drumroll....

'The Magical Adventures of Super Singh!'

After a lot of back and fourth we have finally started our journey in developing this enchanting play! A new wave of theatre that will empower and inspire young audiences and celebrate our heritage.

And the beautiful part is we shall be working with children who will help in co creating the magic on stage!

It's going to be exciting and undoubtedly a rollercoaster ride but we are really looking forward to this new venture and of course sharing our collaborators and snippets from our journey here.

So after a long break we are back with some really exciting work!

Thrilled to announce we are kicking it off with the incredible Happy Hour project with our third cohort of South Asian women.

This year it's going to be bigger and better where we will be collaborating with South Asian creatives from the Midlands and providing them with an opportunity to connect with the heart of the 'real' community - our wonderful women from The Happy Hour Project.

Some really talented artists have come on board to deliver a program of innovative creative workshops to historically marginalised communities.

We would just like to shout out and say a big thank you to all of those incredible creatives! Thanks for helping us deliver a real special and heartwarming project.

And above all thank you to the National lottery community fund for making this project happen. Forever grateful for putting a smile on so many faces.

Looking forward to sharing what we get up to over the next couple of months.

Thrilled with the overwhelming response from Echoes of Panjab. Once again we managed to sell out the entire run. Audiences laughed, cried, experienced anguish and rage but above all a sense of community was ignited uniting all.

Powerful storytelling that came together in the end which wouldn’t have been possible without our fantastic team of cast and creatives. Thank you all🙏

As we close this chapter here, we are excited about the future of Echoes of Panjab and look forward its journey ahead.
