Sudden Productions welcomes you to the Midlands Arts Centre on Friday 24th of October for two performances at 2pm and 7.30pm
Supported by Birmingham City Council Domestic Abuse Prevention Team, Sudden Productions toured schools and youth organisations since 2024 with our workshops and stage production. As part of Domestic Abuse Awareness month, we come to the mac with our stage production. A guided discussion will take place after the performance. The stage production includes an interactive scene which enables young people to feel part of the show!
Sudden Productions has been working hard since 1993 to bring its productions to those who have limited access to conventional theatre in Birmingham’s most deprived areas. Our community programmes deliver social, emotional, physical and educational benefits to disadvantaged vulnerable participants. Our core sectors are: Inclusion: Working with marginalized groups with a keen focus on integration and supporting social cohesion; Education: Developing confidence and communication, and improving behaviour and attitudes to learning; Health: Effecting positive improvements in mental and physical health; Professional Development: Helping to develop the careers of young talents.
Rewind and Fast Forward
Sometimes it is easy to Mistake Intense Love and Control in a Teen Relationship and then Jada was asked Why didn’t she leave?
It is in its capacity to unlock the silence that still surrounds domestic abuse that Sudden Productions hope the show's power ultimately lies.
• Aims at starting the conversation about Teen Dating Abuse / Domestic Abuse with young People.
• Directed by B Karra.
