Over the years I’ve relocated to different parts of the UK, ‘along the way documenting and photographing my surroundings’’ in addition capturing a way of life within different towns and cities and the people who occupied them. Settling back in my hometown of Birmingham in 2014, a new project would steer me from street photography’’ as an occupant to a garden, my attempts to transform this wasteland back into a garden space, ‘’had inspired me to grow from seeds, to create a peaceful space, a calm environment within the hustle and bustle of a busy city, to document nature and the changes of seasons, how a setting can change the mindset to a place of relaxed feelings and a sense of wellbeing. On reflection’ adapting to change through life’s ups and downs, circumstances create new subjects to explore; after capturing a world around me ‘I formed a self-projection of my own life to capture, how I coped in isolation through a pandemic, exploring self-portraits in a time of uncertainty. Currently living in Cornwall since 2021, with broken photography equipment I find my self-painting onto canvases, for me staying creative keeps a sense of wellbeing, inspired by Cornish countryside’s, historic architecture to depict images onto canvases using paints and brushes that would in time improve, to evolve and make new artworks.
