Anita brings an infectious combination of energy, confidence, musicality and personality to the dance floor. Her expressive approach to Cuban dance is all about helping dancers connect with the music, develop their movement and, most importantly, enjoy every moment of the journey. 💃🔥

We are incredibly proud to welcome YOANNIS TAMAYO to the New Year Latin Festival 2026/27 – Celebrating the Spirit of La Habana!

Born in Santiago de Cuba 🇨🇺, Yoannis is an internationally recognised professional dancer, choreographer and instructor whose career has been dedicated to sharing the depth and richness of Afro-Cuban culture around the world. He began with Salsa and Son Cubano before immersing himself in Rumba, Orishas and Afro-Cuban traditions, eventually developing his own distinctive style: AFRO-FUSION.

🔥 His Afro-Fusion brings together Afro-Cuban movement, Rumba, Son and Salsa, creating a style filled with extraordinary musicality, body movement, power and unmistakable Cuban flavour. Yoannis has spent more than two decades travelling internationally as a teacher, dancer and choreographer, sharing not simply movements, but the cultural roots behind them.

This is your opportunity to experience a true master of Afro-Cuban dance — an artist whose energy, knowledge and unique interpretation of Cuban music have inspired dancers across generations.

Some dancers teach you steps. Others teach you how to understand the music, the culture and the feeling behind every movement. 🇨🇺🔥

We are incredibly excited to welcome YAINER CARBONELL to the New Year Latin Festival 2026/27!

Originally from Cuba 🇨🇺 and now based in Scotland, Yainer is a professional dancer, choreographer and teacher whose background goes far beyond Cuban Salsa. His training includes Contemporary Dance, Ballet and Tap, alongside Cuban and Latin disciplines including Casino, Timba, Rumba, Mambo, Cha-Cha-Cha and Afro-Cuban folklore.

His career has taken him across stages and major dance events throughout the UK, and even includes the extraordinary experience of choreographing and performing for the late Queen Elizabeth II. Today, through YC Dance Academy, Yainer continues to share authentic Cuban culture while helping dancers develop musicality, body movement, confidence and a deeper understanding of what they're actually dancing.

And if you've experienced one of his classes before, you'll know exactly what we're talking about: energy, personality, challenge and plenty of Cuban flavour! 🔥
