Escaping.

The backs of the houses are hiding the perfect little cafe bar, they had the exact cake I needed and brought me a sensational long gin and tonic, no ice, just frozen fruit. The waiter was a god, I flirted dreadfully and cared less that he was half my age. The loo was beautiful and provided sunscreen, and fancy bum wipes, the ones you can flush obviously. The wall paper was a delicious cacophony of blousey flowers and the room smelt of geranium and basil.
Here the only care I had was finding a cushion for the rickety chair.

Painting can do that, for a short while anyway.
