We’ve teamed up with colleagues at Northumberland County Council to launch a new survey aimed at building a clearer picture of Northumberland’s creative and cultural sector.

We want to understand who the freelancers, organisations and people are that are driving Northumberland’s creative-led regeneration so we can better understand:

➡️ the current activity taking place
➡️ the needs of the sector
➡️ the challenges people and organisations are facing
➡️ and the opportunities across the wider county.

The findings will inform future cultural development work and, importantly, strengthen the evidence base for future funding and investment into culture and creative-led regeneration across Northumberland.

Berwick Open Studios is now open!

Expect a huge variety of original work to buy, from paintings, ceramics, sculpture, jewellery, textiles, prints, photography and much more to suit everyone’s taste and budget.

📍25 locations throughout Berwick-upon-Tweed, Tweedmouth & Spittal

Berwick Open Studios 2026 is funded by Create Berwick – a designated Culture and Creative Zone (CCZ), funded by the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority and Northumberland County Council.

Just a few of the studios taking part in Berwick Open Studios over the next two weekends. A shout out to Abi for coordinating an amazing showcase for Berwick's artists, makers and creatives.

From 10am, artists and makers across Berwick, Spittal and Tweedmouth will open their doors and will be there to chat, show you their work’s in progress, have finished pieces for sale, and you might even catch them working on something new! Who’s on your list to visit?
